Vortex KZ2 Champion of the WSK Euro Series

Excellent performance for the whole Vortex range at the South Garda Karting in Lonato, conquering the victory and the KZ2 title thanks to Marco Ardigò, and the podiums in the OK and OKJ Finals.

KZ2. After the world title won last year in KZ, the Vortex RSZ and RTZ engines are still a point of reference for the shifter categories, winning the KZ2 WSK Euro Series Title. The second round of the European WSK Series is conquered on the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato. The climax of the weekend is the victory of Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart Racing Team) in the final, a result preceded by the success in prefinal and two first places in the Heats. The Vortex engines brilliantly stand out thanks to Simo Puhakka too, author of a pole position, three victories in the heats and a second place in prefinal (and in the championship) behind Ardigò, and Matteo Viganò, first in his prefinal and protagonist of thrilled duels, both in the heats and, especially, in the final, where he finishes fourth.

OKJ. Excellent results also for the Vortex DJT: 34 registered engines, 19 of which qualified for the final. At the end of it, the drivers powered by Vortex finishing in top ten are seven. The best of them is James Wharton (Ricky Flynn Motorsport), who climbs onto the second step of the podium after being protagonist in the heats with two victories, a second place and a best lap. Among the best performers, there are also Thomas Ten Brinke (Ricky Flynn Motorsport), fourth at the finishing line and second in the championship; Artem Severiukhin (Ward Racing), fifth in the final with two victories in the heats and a best lap; Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart Racing Team), sixth in the final, second in prefinal and third in the championship; and Ugo Ugochuku (Ricky Flynn Motorsport), author of the pole position, winner of two heats and the prefinal, then slipped to the ninth place in the final. Jamie Day (Lennox Racing Team), eighth with two first places in the heats, and Laurens Van Hoepen (Ricky Flynn Motorsport) exploiting the reliability of the DJT to perform a comeback of 8 positions, complete the list of Vortex engines in top ten.

OK. Vortex steps up onto the podium also in the competitive OK category thanks to the brilliant performances of the DST engine. Harry Thompson (Ricky Flynn Motorsport) wins the third step of the podium, completing his excellent weekend with a second place in prefinal and another two third places in the heats. Great performances also for Dino Beganovic (Ward Racing) who, after finishing second in qualifying and winning two heats, also wins his prefinal and finishes fourth in the last race. Among the best of the weekend, but unlucky in the final, there are other drivers powered by Vortex: Joseph Turney (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Sabastian Ogaard (Ward Racing) are third and fourth in pre-final B, while KirillSmal (Ward Racing) and Matheus Morgatto (Tony Kart Racing Team) finish fourth and fifth in prefinal A.

MINI. Good return to the track for the Vortex Mini MR3 which is well supporting the large number of young drivers in 60 Mini: Jimmy Helias, Jules Caranta and Coskun Irfan end the heats several times in top ten, with Caranta closing his prefinal fifth.
