Brad Jones Racing is set to launch a Junior Development Team in association with Tom Williamson Motorsport to help guide the next generation of motorsport stars.
The BJR – TWM Junior Development Team is a driver development program to identify potential future racing drivers. Selected karting youngsters will receive professional and continuous training in all relevant areas of Motorsport and given the opportunity to take the next step in their racing career with the support and guidance of BJR and Tom Williamson Motorsport
With a wealth of Motorsport knowledge, BJR’s co-owner Brad Jones knows the importance of guiding our next generation of drivers to ensure they reach their full potential.
“I have known Tom for over 10yrs and always been impressed with his gift of being able to maximise young drivers talent. We have talked about teaming up over the last few years so I am very proud to announce this initiative with TWM.” Jones stated.
This exciting new development will ensure the next generation is well prepared for a future career in motorsport. The 10 team members will be hand picked by Tom Williamson from around Australia. The young drivers will become part of the TWM / BJR family, they will have the opportunity to attend VASC rounds to see all aspects of the team, giving them an understanding of what it takes to be successful at the highest level.
Participants will have the opportunity to work with Macauley and Tom at specific events as mentors and have the chance to become the BJR Junior Ambassador at the end of the year. This amazing opportunity could lead to a test drive in one of the BJR Commodores plus the chance to be mentored by BJR to take the next step in their racing career.
Williamson believes this junior development team is essential to the advancement of our rising young stars “I’m happy to be finally getting this program off the ground. I consider this to be so important to our next gen of drivers. It takes considerable hard work and determination to be one of the best and with Brad and I’s knowledge, I’m confident we can produce some great talent”.
From today BJR and Tom Williamson Motorsport will be ramping up the Junior Development Team and it’s set to become an ongoing project through the years.
