The 2023 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy Winter Cup is in the starting blocks. This weekend marks the start of the international racing season for this exciting series at European level. 

The international Rotax racing season is on the horizon. The wait will finally come to an end this weekend for numerous competitors from all over Europe. On the race track in Campillos, Spain, the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy Winter Cup will herald the start of the national season. Nearly 200 competitors will be putting the pedal to the metal on the 1,580-meter circuit located in the historical region of Andalusia along Spain’s southern coastline.

RR Racing will team up with the top Italian team of Gamoto. RR Racing; the successful Dutch team of former karter Ramon Rietveld will from now on race under the name Gamoto by RR Racing and will therefore be the factory team for Gamoto in the Rotax Max.

The second running of the Rotax Winter Trophy has hit the spot in 2023, growing the two-round series to a total of 100 entries. With an increase in participants of 66.6% on the first edition of the Rotax MAX Challenge Winter Trophy USA in Florida last year, the interest in the championship saw drivers coming from 14 different nations to compete for the titles and RMC Grand Finals tickets.

MSA (the official FIA affiliate for South Africa) and EMR (official ROTAX distributor for Southern Africa) are pleased to jointly announce that agreement has been reached that will see the Southern African Rotax Max Challenge (SARMC) karting series returning to running under the auspices of MSA in 2023.

Birel ART provided perfect service in Portimao during the 22nd edition of the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. The drivers in the DD2 Max and Micro Max categories, a total of 108 competitors representing no less than 44 nationalities, were able to take advantage of high quality equipment, which ensured the sporting fairness so important to Rotax. The intensity of the races confirmed the technical and sporting expertise of the Italian factory.

This year, the collaboration between Sodikart and BRP-Rotax was again successful for the 22nd edition of the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final, which took place in Portugal, at the Kartodrómo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão from 19th to 26th November. Today the Kartodromo Internacional Algarve welcomed us in the morning shrouded in fog what prompted a fifteen-minute delay to the start of our on-track action. But this did not lower the spirit of our racers.

Yesterday saw the first real part of the full-throttle action that is experienced by the whole paddock, as all 394 drivers would brave the changeable weather conditions that saw the final part of Non-Qualifying Practice and the first five of eight classes go out for Qualifying.
