The 11th edition of the WSK Final Cup ended with a total participation of 500 drivers in the two rounds of Sarno and Lonato, the latter awarded today the titles of MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2.

The second round of the series that will decide the titles will take place at the South Garda Karting circuit from November 9 to 13. WSK welcomes the first win of a Chinese driver Yuanpu Cui (OK) and of a driver from Panama, Gianmatteo Rousseau (MINI).

The changing skies at Le Mans contributed to several unexpected developments in the Qualifying Heats of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting event currently taking place in the Sarthe region of France. A succession of brief showers on Saturday morning did not help all of the competitors. However, the verdict is in. Simo Puhakka (FIN) took the lead in KZ. Arthur Carbonnel (FRA) took the top position in KZ2. Jeroen Bos (NLD) remained the leader of the KZ2 Masters, while Mark Dubnitski (EST) took the lead in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy at the last moment.

On Friday, 2nd September 273 of the 290 entrants took part in the Qualifying Practice for the four categories in competition on the 1384m International Karting Circuit of Le Mans (FRA). Rain made it difficult for the drivers in the early afternoon. Four drivers took pole position: Noah Milell (SWE) in KZ, David Trefilov (DEU) in KZ2, Jeroen Bos (NLD) in KZ2 Masters and Arthur Dorison in Academy.

The renewed International Circuit Napoli of Sarno (Salerno) highlighted once again the competitiveness of about 240 drivers present at the second and closing round of the series. The challenge has been highly spectacular despite the very hot temperatures. Qualifying heats on Saturday contributed to the selection of the main protagonists and now all is set for the final stages that will take place on Sunday, July 31 when the KZ2, OK, OKJ and MINI titles will be awarded. The heat wave currently raging in Europe has not spared northern Italy, where the second and final round of the FIA Karting European Championship - KZ & KZ2 and the second of the three rounds of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy will be held this weekend at the new international circuit of Cremona. Sunday's programme has been adapted accordingly. Pedro Hiltbrand (ESP) dominated the KZ class, while Moritz Ebner (ITA) was the leader in KZ2.
