Victorian Henry Johnstone has taken the first round of the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship, presented by Castrol at Adelaide’s Bolivar Raceway after a gruelling final in blazing heat, while reigning KA2 Champion, Max Walton made a successful transition to senior racing, taking out the X30 category. 

Queensland's rising karting star, Ky Burke, is set to carry the Australian flag on the global stage as Australia's representative in the prestigious 2024 FIA Karting Academy Trophy. 

And once again, another Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals comes to a close here, amidst the sands of the Persian Gulf in 2023, with the intense competition front and centre, with the drivers that had made it to Finals Day being the stars of the show and treating everyone to great racing.

Queensland teenager Max Walton has become the first SP Tools Australian Kart Champion-elect of 2023 at the penultimate round of the Championship at his home track of Ipswich on Sunday afternoon.

Kean Nakamura-Berta (GBR) and Alex Powell (JAM) occupied the top two positions in the OK category, while Iacopo Martinese (ITA) took the lead in OK-Junior. The selection will continue on Sunday morning during the Super Heats, while two Qualifying Heats are still to be contested in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy. Santino Panetta (ARG) and Vasileios Apostolidis (GRC) are currently level on points at the top of the standings.
