Under sunny skies, temperatures rose from 17 to 20 degrees during the Qualifying sessions, while pressure was also high among drivers and teams. With around 250 drivers spread across three categories, it was essential to secure a good position before the start of the Qualifying Heats. Three drivers have already achieved their first goal in Italy, that of securing pole position: Germany's David Trefilov in the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - KZ, Maksim Orlov in the FIA Karting World Cup - KZ2 and Italy's Davide Fore in the FIA Karting International Super Cup - KZ2 Masters.

Parolin Motorsport and satellite team drivers finished on the podium in all categories at the last round of the Champions of the Future Shifter series at Franciacorta, just a week before the vital World Championship meeting at the same northern Italian circuit. The weather was fine all weekend, but with a definite autumnal chill in the air.

Since the beginning of October, the Franciacorta paddock has echoed with the sound of 125cc gearbox engines from the various KZ categories. With 203 participants, the Champions of the Future Shifter kicked off the action on the initiative of promoter RGMMC. From 9th to 12th October, FIA Karting will take over with the World Championship, with no fewer than 253 drivers expected in the Italian region of Brescia. Clearly, as manufacturer LeCont is supplying the KZ, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters in these two prestigious events, world-class drivers and their teams have enjoyed racing with premium tyres offering optimum performance, perfectly suited to their powerful karts!

Parolin Motorsport took a double win at the first round of the WSK Euro Series at Viterbo in Italy from 14th to 17th May with Christian Costoya in OK and Elton Hedfors in Mini. Costoya took advantage of the excellent conditions to take a clean sweep at all stages of the event while Hedfors moved up from 6th in Qualifying to win his heats, Prefinal and the Final.

The weather remained sunny in the Valencia region, with temperatures rising for the day's Qualifying Heats. Drivers and machines were put through their paces in Saturday's 13 races, which produced a large number of passes and twists and turns. In the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship, Spaniard Pedro Hiltbrand in KZ and Maksim Orlov in KZ2 retained the leads they had gained in Qualifying. They will need to consolidate their positions in the Super Heats on Sunday morning, followed by the Finals, if they are to continue their winning run. In the Academy Trophy - Junior, Ecuador's Julian Rivera Salas took over from Mexico's Luis Fer Nunez at the top of the intermediate standings.

Parolin Motorsport and its satellite teams won at the second round of the European Championship at Val Vibrata where Lorenzo Travisanutto came 2nd in the KZ Final to clinch the title in a thrilling finale, while Maksim Orlov, Team Modena Kart, dominated the KZ2 category from start to finish. Riccardo Nalon, Erre Esse Motorsport, won the Final and the KZ2 Masters title.

In both OK and OK-Junior, the great competitiveness of the Birel ART-TM Racing karts on the international circuit of Zuera in Spain enabled several drivers from the red army to be in a position to fight for the podium. The progress of the races was not always favourable to the official Lissone team, but Matheus Morgatto created a sensation in the OK Final by gaining 16 places to reach 5th position! On the other hand, Tymoteusz Kucharczyk deserved better, as did William Macintyre, a serious candidate for the podium in OK-Junior.

The first meeting of the FIA Karting European OK and Junior Championship was not easy for anyone. The continuous changes in the weather on the Genk circuit disrupted the Qualifying Heats. On top of that, the Birel ART Racing Team was not spared the vagaries of competition. However, the weekend's results were far from negative.

The Birel ART Racing team entered the second international event of the season, the first of the four competitions of the WSK Super Master Series with an almost complete line-up of 17 drivers. Longhi in KZ2, Kucharczyk in OK and Van Langendonck in Mini were able to put in top performances, in the top five, or very close, while the field had strengthened even more since the WSK Champions Cup of the previous week. Birel ART Racing can confidently continue its preparation phase for the big events of 2021.

The first competition of the 2021 season, the WSK Champions Cup allowed Birel ART Racing to debut it's team on the Adria Karting Raceway in the presence of a record number of participants. In Mini, the largest category, Van Langendonk did very well to reach 6th position in the Final. Spirgel showed excellent competitiveness in the Junior class, and Kucharczyk adapted perfectly to the OK category, as did Thanapongpan in KZ2.
