Patrick Heuzenroeder claimed a first GB3 Championship victory both for himself and the Xcel Motorsport team in the first race of the weekend at Zandvoort. British teenager Jack Sherwood will step up to the GB4 Championship with Elite Motorsport this year as he graduates from Ginetta Juniors. Sherwood was 15th in the final 2021 Ginetta Junior Rookie classification in his first season out of karts, recording eighth position in the Rookie field on four occasions. 

Robert de Haan and Maurice Henry have been crowned joint-winners of the 2021 Ginetta Junior Scholarship, the first time in the event’s history that two drivers have emerged with the prize of a fully-funded season in the championship.
