Argenti with Prema's Reza Seewooruthun smashed the official GB3 lap record in the opening Friday practice session at Zandvoort.
The British driver, gearing up for his second GB3 event, registered a 1m29.649s on his thirteenth lap of the circuit, beating the official lap record by almost four tenths of a second. His lap was over a second and a half quicker than any GB3 lap time achieved at Zandvoort last year.
Seewooruthun was 0.198s clear of Rodin Motorsport's Alex Ninovic in the 30-minute session, with Ninovic just 0.029s ahead of Xcel Motorsport's Patrick Heuzenroeder, the two Australian drivers maintaining their positions from yesterday's hour-and-a-half session.
Hitech's Nikita Johnson and Elite's Will Macintyre also retained their positions from yesterday's test, with Johnson 0.046s away from Heuzenroeder. Seven thousandths of a second behind Macintyre was Heuzenroeder's teammate Jack Sherwood, while Hitech's Deagen Fairclough was just 0.002s further back, having led the session at the mid-point.
Fairclough's teammate Keanu Al Azhari was next up in eighth, a quarter of a second in arrears with Rodin's Gianmarco Pradel and Argenti with Prema's Yuanpu Cui completing the top-10, which was covered by 0.764s. The top-15 drivers were separated by less than a second, with two more sessions still to come on Friday.
