Qualifying heats at the WSK Euro Series in Angerville (F)

A great qualifying day has gone on in Angerville (F) yesterday, for WSK Euro Series. The qualifying of the second round of the European Series organized by WSK Promotion (above, the start of one of the heats) was run again on similar weather conditions as Friday: variable conditions that led to big changes in the track surface from the dry under the sun to a sudden rain shower. Temperatures did not go beyond the 12°C and this was the only constant of unpredictable weather that challenged a lot all the drivers on track. After the tough selection of qualifying heats, the drivers of OK, OK Junior and 60 Mini are now getting ready to face Prefinals and Finals, that will name the winners of this French round and will shape up classifications differently today.

Travisanutto takes the pole position in OK.
Lorenzo Travisanutto (above) will start the OK Prefinal from the pole position. The Italian secured two wins in the heats and will start ahead of the Brit Taylor Barnard (both on KR-Iame-Bridgestone), who won the other heat. The second row will be occupied by the Brazilian Matheus Morgatto (Tony Kart-Vortex) and the Italian Gabriele Minì (Parolin-TM). Classification leader from Sweden Dino Beganovic (Tony Kart-Vortex) will have some ground to recover to defend his lead as he will start from the third row of the grid.

Thomas Ten Brinke leading the pack in OKJ.
After posting the quickest time in qualifying, Thomas Ten Brinke (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega #127, above leading the pack) claimed two wins and secured himself a pole position start in the Prefinal. The Dutch will have the Italian Andrea Antonelli (KR-Iame) starting next to him. The second row will be occupied by Singapore's Christian Ho and by the Australian James Wharton (both on FA Kart-Vortex), as the latter could not go beyond P4 despite winning the last heat. The Russian Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart-Vortex), who currently leads the classification, is only 15th.

Joel Bergstrom the most successful in 60 Mini.
The Swede Joel Bergstrom (above) won three heats and secured therefore the pole position of Prefinal A. Next to him, United Arab Emirates' Keanu Al Azhari won one heat. The pole position of Prefinal B went to the Belgian Ean Eyckmans (all on Parolin-TM-Vega), who claimed two wins and will lead the Italian Francesco Marenghi (Tony Kart-TM) on the starting grid. A negative result, despite two wins, relegated the Jamaican driver Alex Powell (Energy-TM) on 11th place of the ranking. The other wins went to the Russian Kirill Kutskov (Energy-TM) and to the Brit Coskun Irfan (Tony Kart-Vortex). The British driver William Macintyre (Parolin-TM), who is currently leading the classification, will start Prefinal A from the second row.
