In Sweden, the two FIA Karting World Championship titles - OK & Junior - are more coveted than ever on the spectacular Åsum Ring. The intensity of the 30 Qualifying Heats held from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening, in very pleasant weather conditions, clearly demonstrated this. An initial selection took place with 72 drivers qualifying for Sunday's Super Heats in each category. There will now be only 36 in each Final, out of an initial total of 109 in OK-Junior and 105 in OK. Britain's Noah Baglin in the 12-14 age group and Australia's James Anagnostiadis in OK lead the intermediate standings.

Drama and excitement marked Race 2 of the E4 Championship at Mugello. Kean Nakamura-Berta with Prema Racing, already victorious in Race 1 this morning, crossed the line first again. An initial ranking has emerged, with most of the favourites in contention. Recently crowned European Champion, Dutchman Dean Hoogendoorn set the fastest time in OK-Junior. In OK, Ireland's Daniel Kelleher was the fastest. A total of 30 Qualifying Heats are on the schedule before Sunday's Final stages.

In Sweden, the fifth and final round of the 2025 Champions of the Future Euro Series was a triumph for KR chassis and the teams defending the colours of the Kart Republic Global Motorsport Company group. In OK, the entire top eight in the Final was made up of KR-IAME karts. Daniel Kelleher crossed the finish line as the winner ahead of Kenzo Craigie, who won the series ahead of five other KR chassis! In OK-Junior, Noah Baglin dominated the Final, and Devin Walz secured a one-two finish for the Italian brand. Baglin also lifted the championship trophy on the top of the podium.

In Sweden, the Champions of the Future Euro Series ended on a high note with an exciting fifth and final round. The 204 best young international hopefuls and the biggest teams competed for three days in a highly competitive environment. The series, organised by RGMMC, once again demonstrated its quality and appeal. On the Asum Ring, which remained dry for almost the entire competition, Britain's Noah Baglin scored a double victory in OK-Junior, winning the Final and taking the series title. In OK, Ireland's Daniel Kelleher made the difference at the end of the race. Britain's Kenzo Craigie secured 2nd place, which means he will be crowned Champions of the Future Euro Series champion in 2025.

FRECA: Yamakoshi ends Paul Ricard collective test on top

The final afternoon session at Circuit Paul Ricard brought two productive days of pre-season collective testing to a close for the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. Under sunny skies, Hiyu Yamakoshi (Van Amersfoort Racing) topped the timesheets with a best lap of 1:57.470, confirming the Japanese driver’s strong form ahead of the championship’s fifth season.
 

The session was extremely close, with Rashid Al Dhaheri (Prema Racing) just 0.259s behind in second, followed by Jin Nakamura (R-ace GP) in third. Nikita Bedrin (Sainteloc Racing) and Freddie Slater (Prema Racing) rounded out the top five, separated by less than half a second from the leader. Sixth place went to Matteo De Palo (Trident), ahead of Doriane Pin (Prema Racing), Jack Beeton (Prema Racing), and Dion Gowda (VAR). Pedro Clerot (VAR) completed the top ten after a strong showing throughout the tests.
 

The top fifteen featured Enzo Deligny (R-ace GP), Nandhavud Bhirombhakdi (Trident), Akshay Bohra (R-ace GP), Enzo Peugeot (RPM), and Ruiqi Liu (Trident), each making further progress in their pre-season preparations.


With testing now complete, attention turns to the season opener: the 2025 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine will get underway at Misano on the weekend of May 3rd and 4th, where the action will officially begin.
