Fortec Motorsports completes 2025 GB4 line-up with Luca Magnussen

Fortec Motorsports has completed its three-car 2025 GB4 Championship line-up, with karting graduate Luca Magnussen joining the team for his car racing debut.

The 15-year-old has grown up around motorsport, coming from a family of famous Danish racers, with both his father Jan and brother Kevin having raced in Formula One. Luca attended his first race just 14 days after his birth and began karting at the age of six but wanting to hone his craft and learn, he only completed his first club race in 2021.

Enjoying the experience, Luca competed in the Sydsvenskans Kart Champion Cup (SKCC) the following year and stepped into X30 and OK-Junior in 2023, as well as having taken part in selected FIA Karting World and European Championship events.

Last year, he competed in ROK Cup Italy and the Danish Karting League (DKL), and represented his country in the FIA Motorsport Games, in the Karting Sprint Senior category. At the end of the season, Luca travelled to the United Kingdom to test with Fortec Motorsports at Donington Park, where he demonstrated exceptional performance beyond the team’s expectations.

Luca will link up with teammates Jack Taylor and Thomas Ingram-Hill for pre-season testing, ready to hit the ground running for the GB4 Championship season opener, which takes place at Donington Park over the weekend of 5/6 April.

Luca Magnussen said: "I'm incredibly happy to take the next step in my career and proud to team up with such a renowned and experienced team like Fortec Motorsports. The team has already given me a warm welcome, and now I'm just excited to get started and show what I can do. A year full of big challenges and even more competition awaits me. A huge thank you to all my sponsors and to my family, who have supported me all the way."

Fortec Motorsports Team Principal Oliver Dutton said: "We are thrilled to welcome Luca Magnussen to our team for the GB4 Championship in 2025. Luca has shown incredible potential during his karting career and particularly impressed us during his test at Donington Park. His dedication and skill make him a valuable addition to our line-up, and we are confident he will make significant strides this season."
