FIA World Championships moved from Le Mans to Lonato

Due to the fact that the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) has postponed two major events on its calendar, it will no longer organise the FIA Karting World Championship - KZ, the FIA Karting International Super Cup – KZ2, the third Competition of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy and the FIA Karting Historic Super Cup initially scheduled to take place in Le Mans (FRA) from 10th to 13th September 2020. The World Championship will now be held in Lonato.

 

The 2020 FIA Karting calendar is revised as follows. The second Competitions of the FIA Karting European Championship - KZ & KZ2 and the FIA Karting Academy Trophy due to take place in Lonato (ITA) from 13th-16th August, will now move to the Adria Karting Circuit (ITA) on the same date. The FIA Karting World Championship - KZ, the FIA Karting International Super Cup - KZ2, the third Competition of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy and the FIA Karting Historic Super Cup, all scheduled to take place at Le Mans (FRA) on 10th-13th September, will now be held in Lonato (ITA) on the same date after the Italian ASN ACI-CSAI and the South Garda Karting circuit agreed to take over as host.
