PREMA Racing announces that Tomass Stolcermanis will be joining the team for the 2026 FIA Formula Regional European Championship. The 18-year-old Latvian made his racing debut with PREMA in 2023, coming from a remarkably successful karting career.
Lining up for the first time with the team in the Formula 4 SEA Championship, he achieved his first podium on his debut. He then continued with PREMA for the 2024 Italian Formula 4 and Euro4 Championships, becoming a consistent scorer and a front-running competitor throughout the following season.
In 2025, he achieved his maiden F4 win in the F4 Middle East Championship before finishing fourth at the end of the series. The season saw him compete in F4 on a part-time basis, and late in the year, he had the chance to make an early step to Formula Regional.
Stolcermanis already joined the team in testing and is fully set for the highly anticipated new era of Formula Regional, beginning with the 2026 series opener at the Red Bull Ring.
On the other hand, the team wants to extend its best wishes to Sebastian Wheldon for the season ahead.

“We are delighted to welcome Tomass back to PREMA for the inaugural FIA FREC season. Having begun his career with us, it’s especially rewarding to see him return to the team, where he is highly regarded by everyone he has worked with. His familiarity with our operations, combined with valuable Formula Regional experience, positions him strongly to integrate quickly and emerge as a competitive contender from the outset.”

"Coming back to PREMA means a lot to me, as it’s where I achieved my first success in F4, from scoring points to standing on the podium and taking my first win. Now we’re reunited for an exciting new chapter. This season I’ll be stepping up to FIA FREC, a new challenge where I still have limited experience, but I’m highly motivated and can’t wait to get started."
