Sodikart wins two new international titles at Franciacorta

Following their success in the FIA Karting European Championships and WSK, Sodi chassis have just been crowned Champions of the Future Shifter in both the KZ and KZ2 categories. With one week to go before the World Championship, Senna Van Walstijn made a strong impression in KZ against tough competition on the Italian circuit of Franciacorta, winning the overall series classification ahead of his team-mate Jean Nomblot. In KZ2, Maksim Orlov and the CPB Sport team added another victory to their list of achievements in an extremely competitive field. The French brand's dominance was confirmed with a one-two finish in the Championship by Max Schleimer, runner-up behind Orlov.

KZ: Sodi-TM one-two with Van Walstijn and Nomblot

After excellent Free Practice sessions, Senna Van Walstijn and Mattéo Spirgel each won a heat at Franciacorta, while Jean Nomblot moved up to 6th position. The Super Heat put Van Walstijn on track for an unchallenged domination in the Final. The Dutchman demonstrated both the extreme competitiveness of his Sodi-TM package and his consistency, setting the fastest lap time in his penultimate lap and completing his last twelve laps within the same tenth of a second. Unfortunately, a severe five-second penalty pushed him back a place on the podium. The supremacy of Sodikart and CPB Sport in Champions of the Future Shifter was confirmed with the one-two finish achieved by Van Walstijn and Nomblot, as well as Spirgel's 4th place!

KZ2: Six Sodi chassis in the top 12, victory for Orlov

Maksim Orlov was as dominant at Franciacorta as he had been in the three rounds of the European Championship. With the exception of a collision at the start of one heat, Orlov won everything: pole position, leader after the Qualifying Heats with four victories, success in the Super Heat and then in the Final with the fastest lap of the race and a lead of almost five seconds at the finish line! Already the winner of the previous round in Valencia, Spain, Orlov logically took the title ahead of his team-mate Max Schleimer, while Jayden Thien completed the Sodikart sweep by finishing 4th. In addition to Schleimer and Thien, Timo Jüngling (P4), Dion Van Werven and Dominik Simek also finished in the top 12 in the Final. A real vote of confidence for the CPB Sport team's Sodi-TM Kart karts just a few days before the highly anticipated World Championship event in the Shifter categories!

Team manager Paul Bizalion commented

"Since our success at the 2024 FIA Karting World Championship in KZ at Portimao, Sodikart and CPB Sport have won every championship we have competed in, in both KZ and KZ2: WSK Final Cup, WSK Super Master Series, European KZ and KZ2 Championships, as well as Champions of the Future Shifter, which we have just won in both categories. Regardless of the tyre brand, victory is assured. We can rely on exceptional equipment with Sodi chassis and TM Kart engines, talented drivers, renowned engine manufacturers and the skills of an entire team constantly striving for performance and victory.

"During the Finals, Senna Van Walstijn and Maksim Orlov put on a real show on the track. I am also very happy with the overall result: three drivers in the top four of the overall standings, with a double victory in both KZ and KZ2. In Franciacorta, however, we faced tough competition, which pushes us to continue working tirelessly to be ever more competitive."
