Showdown in Wackersdorf: DKM ahead of the big season finale

Munich. The German Kart Championship is entering the home straight: the grand season finale 2025 will take place at Pro Kart Raceland Wackersdorf from 19 to 21 September. On the 1,197-metre track, 207 drivers will battle it out for the remaining five championship titles. After four exciting weekends, the championship favourites are neck and neck. Both race days can be viewed via livestream on adac.de/motorsport and on the ADAC Motorsport YouTube channel. On Saturday, coverage begins at 1 p.m. with the first heats, while the final decisions on Sunday can be followed live from 9:30 a.m.

In the highest category of the DKM, Danilo Albanese (KR Motorsport) travels to Wackersdorf as the leader in the standings. With 306 points, the Italian is just ahead of Dion van Werven (CPB Sport/276) and Markus Kajak (Formula K SRP Factory Team/259). Germany's Daniel Stell (Kartshop Ampfing/215) also still has a mathematical chance, but would have to hope for his rivals to drop out. Van Werven and Kajak are also competing for the prestigious Road to DTM Trophy, in which Christiaan de Kleijn (CRG Holland/206 points) is also still in the running. The winner will receive the entry fee for the ADAC GT4 Germany 2026 from the ADAC, enabling them to take the first step on the road to professional GT racing.

The German Junior Kart Championship is set for a duel between Marc Alexander Reistrup (CRG Holland/344 points) and Milan Rossi (DAP Lanari Racing Team/315). The leader from Denmark put himself in an ideal position with his victory in Kerpen, but Rossi is only 29 points behind and still has a realistic chance of winning the title.

Jayden Thien (Belgium Racing) dominates the DMSB Shifter Kart Cup. With 347 points, the Dutchman has a comfortable lead over his closest rival Jeffrey Fikse (266). Thien only needs a solid result to secure the title. The German Mini Kart Championship has already been decided ahead of schedule. Devin Titz (CRG Holland) has won all four final races so far and is uncatchable at the top. Behind him, Henri Möhring (7L-Performance/272), Alex Huizer (CRG Holland/258), Bruno Kortekaas (CRG Holland/189) and Jan Ruudi Algre (CRG Holland/160) are battling it out for the remaining podium places.

In the X30 Juniors, Tom Wickop (VM Energy Corse Germany) leads the standings with 313 points. His lead over Carlos Nees (Nees Racing/269) and Joelina Denzel (Ebert Motorsport/249) is comfortable, but not yet decisive. The decision in the X30 Seniors is particularly exciting. Aaron Garcia Lopez (CV Performance X JP Motorsport/288) leads the championship just ahead of Lars Ramaer (Haupt Racing Team/281). Only seven points separate the two title contenders, so the final in Wackersdorf promises to be exciting.

From Friday onwards, more than 200 participants will be doing their first laps at Pro Kart Raceland to find the perfect setup for the track. Saturday will see the qualifying sessions and heats, which will already give an indication of the starting positions in the title fight. Sunday will then see the grand finale: after the Super Heats, the best 36 drivers in each class will compete in the final races from 2 p.m. onwards, where the final decisions on the champions of the 2025 DKM season will be made.
