The Kart Grand Prix of Great Britain reached its climax on Sunday, 20th May, 2018 on the circuit of PF International. During three days of good weather and intense competition, the best European Drivers were able to engage in a magnificent confrontation before concluding with two exciting final Races.

The second Competition in the 2018 season includes the opening of the CIK-FIA European KZ and KZ2 Championships, as well as the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy. This important event will take place in France, on the international circuit of Salbris from 4th to 6th May with 150 Drivers entered. The setting in the past of major international Competitions, on this occasion the track of Salbris will resume the thread of its long history of high level Karting.

Therefore, the President decided on an exceptional reopening of entries for the 2018 CIK-FIA European KZ Championship until Thursday, 26th April 2018 at 11:59 pm.

During the first round of the FIA ​​Karting European Championship, the Birel ART Racing team was eager to show that the work done during the races at the beginning of the season had paid off. With Luigi Coluccio and Marijn Kremers in OK, as well as with Lorenzo Ressico D'Aloisio and Thomas Ten Brinke in OK-Junior, the Birel ART-TM karts enabled the young drivers of the team to reveal excellent potential during the Finals. At Sarno, the gains they made certainly deserved a bigger points haul.

The European Championship round held last weekend at Sarno gave positive vibes to the Baby Race operation, lining-up with Parolin chassis and TM engines.

The opener of the CIK-FIA European Championship in Sarno welcomed the first podium of the season for Pedro Hiltbrand in OK.

On Sunday, 22nd April, the participants in the first round of the CIK-FIA European Championship and European Junior Championship at the Sarno circuit competed in an intense sporting confrontation for the first Competition, organised in collaboration with the new Promoter RGMMC Group. The 34 finalists in the OK and OK-Junior categories qualified after the last Qualifying Heats before competing in the Finals in the hot weather of the Naples region. Estonian Paul Aron in OK-Junior and Czech Roman Stanek in OK were crowned the winners of the Competition after exciting races.

The qualifying phases of the first Competition of the CIK-FIA European Championship and European Junior Championship took up all available energy on Saturday 21st April 2018 on the international circuit of Sarno.

The CIK-FIA European campaign began this Friday, 20th April, 2018 on the 1547m Circuito Internazionale Napoli of Sarno (ITA) in good weather with temperatures above 25°. As some of the favourites, two Ricky Flynn Motorsport Team Drivers, Paul Aron (EST) and Zane Maloney (BRB), had the fastest times in their respective categories, OK-Junior and OK.

Three World Championships, four European Championships, one International Super Cup and one Academy Trophy in five categories will animate the eight meetings on the 2018 calendar held in six European countries from April to September.

The Italian Kart Grand Prix will launch the FIA Karting European Championship, for the OK and OK-Junior categories from April 20th to 22nd at the Sarno circuit and will be a long-awaited rendezvous for RGMMC Group's debut as CIK-FIA Competitions Promoter. The event is already looking promising with an entry higher than last year and constant confrontation is expected between the established stars and young hopefuls of the discipline.

A Competition with increasing success, the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy reached the record number of 40 nations represented in 2018 among the 51 young talents entered. The 9th edition is already anticipated as a highlight of the sporting year when it comes to launching future champions.

Eleven are the drivers wearing the official Tony Kart racing team’s colours, for top-level karting commitment: WSK and CIK-FIA competitions in the Mini, OKJ, OK and KZ categories.

The new Promoter of the CIK-FIA European and World Championships from 2018 to 2020 has not been slow to take up its role since the FIA’s decision was announced in late November.
