The South Garda Karting Circuit will house again an International CIK-FIA race. The second and closing round of the KZ-KZ2 European Championship will get underway in Lonato on July 15th in a joint event with the second round of the Academy Trophy. The most recent two CIK-FIA events in Lonato date back to 1996 and 1997.

In Germany, the third round of the CIK-FIA European Junior Championship once again confirmed the competitiveness of the Parolin chassis on every track. On Ampfing's twisty circuit, Gabriele Mini’ has shown extraordinary consistency in the top group of the OK-Junior category.

On the occasion of the third round of the FIA Karting European Championship reserved for OK-OKJ categories on the German Ampfing circuit, the Tony Kart Racing Team proved to be extremely competitive.

CRG and Gabriel Bortoleto secured a good result in the third round of the European Championship in OK-Junior. In OK, Pedro Hiltbrand had to concede the first place of the classification, as he was ninth in the Final, but the final classifications will be defined in the closer at Essay.

The weather was good for the final day of the Competition at Ampfing. The last Qualifying Heats on Sunday morning confirmed the trend without bringing any major upheavals. The Finals rewarded the two polemen, Paul Aron in OK-Junior and Hannes Janker in OK, even though the result of the latter category left a strange impression.

With 24 Heats, Saturday is a large part of the Qualifying Phase in the CIK-FIA European Championship. At Ampfing (DEU), for the third of the four Competitions of the 2018 season, the warm and sunny weather enabled exceptional action. The German Hannes Janker, poleman after Qualifying Practice in OK, continued to dominate the category with four clear wins. The situation has changed somewhat in OK-Junior with great performances from the Frenchman Hadrien David and the Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto, with three victories each.

The weather was particularly good in the South of Bavaria for first day, Friday, 15th June, devoted to Free Practice and Qualifying Practice for the two categories of direct-drive karts. Paul Aron dominated in Junior while Hannes Janker prevailed by a wide margin in OK.

The weather conditions were ideal for the first round of the CIK-FIA European Superkart Championship of 2018 at Donington on 2nd and 3rd June. The favourites were unsurprisingly fastest, but the pack appeared homogeneous, allowing many Drivers to aspire to a reasonable finish. The progress of the two races was similar and the German Peter Elkmann, the 2017 Champion, dominated the racing without surprises.

David Vidales hit the second place on the final of OK on the occasion of the second round of the European Championship of OK and OKJ on the English PF International Circuit.

The second round of the FIA Karting European Championship reserved for the singlespeed OK and OKJ categories, the Kart Grand Prix - Great Britain, ended at the best for the Tony Kart Racing Team, back on the podium at the English PF International circuit. David Vidales, was able to gain in the OK final a second place and the fastest lap of the race. 

The Kart Grand Prix - Great Britain, the second round of the FIA Karting European Championship for OK/OKJ categories held on the PF International circuit, allowed the Kosmic Racing Department to make a difference and climb important positions in the general ranking. In particular, in the Junior category, where Rafael Camara was able to get the best of the potential of his Kosmic Mercury S chassis powered by Vortex, taking him to the sixth place overall in the decisive race of the weekend. 

It has already been seven seasons since LeCont was selected, following invitations for tender, to supply the tyres for the major CIK-FIA International Championships. Since 2011, a total of 14 categories have benefited from the technology of the Italian manufacturer. The year 2018 season marks a new path for LeCont, present in Endurance, the Academy Trophy, KZ2 and KZ, where the best drivers in the world compete.
