The action on track is back for the OK and OKJ categories of international karting, which will be busy this weekend on the Portimão track in Portugal for the 2nd round of the Champions of the Future. The event will be the prologue to the 2nd Round of the FIA ​​European Championship, scheduled for next week from 1st to 4th May on the same track and will therefore be of significant importance for working on the set-ups in view of the FIA ​​meeting.

In 2025, IPKarting will rely on its extremely competitive chassis brands - Formula K, Praga, OK1, RS Kart and Tillotson - but also on a renowned Racing Team which has been reorganised during the off-season and which its managers are pleased to officially present.

With the Prema Racing team and IAME engines, KR chassis dominated the first of four rounds of the FIA Karting European Championships in OK and OK-Junior. At Campillos in Spain, the results of the two Finals spoke for themselves: Noah Baglin won brilliantly in the youngest category ahead of his team-mate Dean Hoogendoorn and James Anagnostiadis triumphed in OK, while Dries Van Langendonck secured a second double for the Kart Republic factory.

On the Spanish circuit of Campillos, the Racer 401 T is fast and competitive in both categories. After the strong performances shown throughout the weekend, in the two finals the Racing Team down not gain the results within its reach.

Round 1 of the FIA European Championship ended with results below expectations and potential for the CRG Racing Team drivers. On the one hand, the rain on Thursday and part of Friday complicated the work plans and, at the same time, a bit of bad luck in some key moments of the weekend did not allow them to fight in the upper parts of the standings in this 1st of the 4 scheduled seasonal appointments.

Almost four years after the previous FIA Karting Championship at Campillos, the Andalusian circuit was perfectly suited to the eagerly-awaited European opener, contributing to the success of the first 2025 competition. As the 2025 Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior got underway on Friday 4th April at the Campillos International Kart Center, the Qualifying sessions were eagerly awaited to provide an initial overview of the season’s talents. Despite threatening skies, with an occasional few drops of rain, the 173 drivers were able to use slick tyres from the first to the last session. In southern Spain, Chiara Battig (SUI) took pole position in the OK class, while Iskender Zulfikari (TUR) was fastest in the OK-Junior class.
