The FIA Karting European Championship in the KZ2 category came to an end at the Adria International Circuit in north-eastern Italy on the weekend of 15th August. James Wharton wanted to use this event to increase his points tally in the overall standings and end this high-level competition on a positive note. Unfortunately, the young Australian hopeful from the Ferrari Driver Academy experienced a series of setbacks, which did not allow him to confirm his performances during the meeting.

The second round of the European KZ & KZ2 Championship saw the Parolin Motorsport drivers demonstrate the effectiveness of their TM Racing-powered Parolin chassis in both classes. Lorenzo Travisanutto showed steady progress and finished on the KZ2 podium after a strong Final 10-place gain with the fastest lap, while Francesco Celenta, also the fastest in the Final, also made up ground to finish 7th in KZ.

For the second consecutive year, the Birel ART factory has been crowned FIA Karting European Champion in the premier KZ category. After his brilliant victory in Germany, Riccardo Longhi won the title after constant effort and perfect teamwork. In Italy, the Birel ART chassis also distinguished itself with the Charles Leclerc by Lennox Racing team. 2nd in the Final ahead of his team-mate Viktor Gustavsson, Pedro Hiltbrand became European vice-champion, while the young Laurens Van Hoepen finished the European KZ2 Championship in 3rd position.

In the final weekend of the FIA ​​European Championship, which took place on the Adria track from August 12th to 15th, the CRG colours were protagonists in both racing categories: KZ2 and KZ. Giacomo Pollini of the NGM Motorsport team won the title in the KZ2 category in the most beautiful and authoritative way, also winning the race. Also in KZ Paolo Ippolito lived a perfect weekend, obtaining a clear victory, while Alex Irlando had some difficulties and was unable to fight for the title.

From the last Qualifying Heats in the morning to the Finals in the afternoon, this Sunday 15th August delivered races of rare intensity punctuated by resounding dramatic twists. The Italians were in the limelight in the gearbox categories. The Final of the FIA Karting European Championship - KZ was won by Paolo Ippolito, while the title went to Riccardo Longhi. In the FIA Karting European Championship - KZ2, Giacomo Pollini won both the Final and the Championship with flying colours. Poland's Maciej Gladysz won the Final of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy and took the lead in the provisional standings.

After a hot day of intense Qualifying Heats, the outcome of the Adria event is still very much in doubt. After a 2020 campaign in OK-Junior full of promise, Arthur Rogeon aged only fourteen-and-a half set himself one hell of a challenge by choosing to pursue his career this season in the FIA Karting international hotbed of talent, the OK category, with the best world hopes. The European Championship has just finished on the Zuera circuit in Spain and the ASK Laval club member used this opportunity to showcase his talent on several occasions and make people sit up and take notice thanks to his incontestable speed on the track.

The first half of Jesse Carrasquedo's 2021 racing season was marked by active participation in the major events of the OK category, which represents the highest international level in karting for motorsport hopefuls. In total, the 14-year-old Mexican raced in 12 events and was frequently in the spotlight. His progress was steady and he was able to gain a lot of experience, as was the case during the FIA Karting European Championship which ended in Spain on the Zuera circuit.

The team demonstrated its speed during the fourth and final round of the FIA Karting European Championship OK-OKJ, even though the final results don’t give the drivers the recognition they deserved.

On the Spanish track, the DJT engine, with Freddie Slater and Ean Eyckmans, signs a double win in the final of the OKJ class and becomes the 2021 Champion of the FIA Karting European Championship. Podium also in the OK class.

Their Exprit Noesis R chassis sets the best time in the "Junior" qualifying session on the occasion of the last round of the FIA Karting European Championship, reserved for OK and OKJ classes. Their driver Edoardo Ludovico Villa, in the final, completes a good recovery in the "Senior" class.

The Kosmic Mercury R chassis of Kosmic Kart wins the title of the FIA Karting European Championship in the OKJ class, now at its fourth and final round in Spain, with Freddie Slater. Ean Eyckmans completes the double win in second place.
