The Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve has been selected to host the first of four events in the FIA Karting European Championship - OK & OK-Junior from 7th to 10th April 2022 in Portimão (PRT).

Everything is ready in Portimao, Portugal, in the Algarve region, for the first of the 4 rounds of the FIA ​​European Championship of the OK and OK Junior direct drive classes, which will take place from 7 to 10 April. After the preparatory events at the beginning of the year, now it’s time for the most important Championships of the season for International karting.

The Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve has been selected to host the first of four events in the FIA Karting European Championship - OK & OK-Junior from 7th to 10th April 2022 in Portimão (PRT). With more than 150 of the world's best drivers competing, the sporting confrontation promises to be one of the most interesting to watch at the start of the season on a track renowned for its selectivity.

The FIA Karting European Championship for the OK and OKJunior categories will start in Portugal from 8th to 10th April 2022 and Energy Corse has entered a team of seven drivers. The Italian team has prepared perfectly for the great event by participating in several major international events since the beginning of the season and scoring excellent results. This was also the case at the opening of the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Portimao: Tomass Stolcermanis gained another top three in OK, while Andres Cardenas finished 4th in OK-Junior.

Considered as a series in itself as well as preparation for the FIA Karting European Championship, the Champions of the Future Euro Series started on the last weekend of March on the Portimao circuit in the south of Portugal. Enzo Deligny just missed out on the OK top three, valiantly finishing 3rd on the line and was then penalised, while Anatoly Khavalkin came 7th in the OK-Junior Final and René Lammers finished 9th.

RGMMC organised the first round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series on the last weekend of March in Portugal. Its scheduling two weeks before the start of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK and OK-Junior made it a must-attend event. Birel ART Racing took the opportunity to gather as much data as possible for the upcoming European confrontation.

In the opening round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series, at the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal Joseph Turney is second in OK class, behind another Tony Kart-Vortex. Victory for a Racer 401 RR chassis also in OKJ category.

The Alpine Academy unveiled its affiliate programme in early March 2022, which will work in conjunction with the Academy to encourage and recruit the best drivers of tomorrow. Brazilian Matheus Ferreira has been selected to join the new initiative as a potential future motorsport talent.

All the big names in the OK and OK-Junior classes of International Karting will be in Portugal this weekend for the 1^st Round of the Champions of the Future, the four-round tournament that will serve as a prologue to the FIA ​​European Championship.

The  Adria Karting Raceway is not able to host as planned the second event of the FIA European Karting Championships - KZ & KZ2 as well as the FIA Karting Academy Trophy from 16th to 19th June 2022. The Italian Federation ACI-Sport has collaborated effectively with the FIA Karting to keep this event on its territory.

The start to the 2022 racing season of Champions of the Future couldn’t have been better than this, with fresh track in the international calendar for the new Winter Series!

The Tony Kart Racer 401 RR, at the third round of 2022, conquers another important victory. On the occasion of the Champions of the Future Winter Series in Franciacorta, Simo Puhakka is the undisputed leader of the KZ2 category.

Year after year, Energy Corse continues to demonstrate that it remains one of the best teams internationally, and above all the one that trains young drivers in the best conditions, whatever their nationality. In OK, OKJunior and Mini, the excellent results follow each other...

The Champions of the Future by RGMMC Winter Series has just taken place on the new Italian circuit of Franciacorta near Milan with tyres identical to those of the forthcoming FIA Karting Championships: MG in OK and Vega in OK-Junior. Anatoly Khavalkin dominated the Junior class before finishing on the podium in a very competitive Final, while René Lammers also proved to be very competitive in adversity. Parolin Motorsport’s level of performance was confirmed by Maksim Orlov’s top three in OK in Qualifying and in the heats.

In a different setting to the WSK Promotion races held up to now, Birel ART showed the extent of its potential in all conditions. The Winter Series was a difficult weekend  with no lack of technical problems and numerous incidents punctuated the races. Despite this, Giuseppe Palomba managed to reach 2nd place in KZ2, Harley Keeble made an exceptional comeback in OK while Kirill Kutskov fought for a long time in the OK-Junior top three.
