On Friday, 2nd September 273 of the 290 entrants took part in the Qualifying Practice for the four categories in competition on the 1384m International Karting Circuit of Le Mans (FRA). Rain made it difficult for the drivers in the early afternoon. Four drivers took pole position: Noah Milell (SWE) in KZ, David Trefilov (DEU) in KZ2, Jeroen Bos (NLD) in KZ2 Masters and Arthur Dorison in Academy.

After an excellent first half of the season marked by several victories and a brilliant European Championship, the Sodi Racing Team has started its preparation for the FIA Karting World Championship - OK-Junior that will take place in September in Sarno. The Italian circuit hosted a WSK Euro Series event from 29th to 31st July and, in the presence of an impressive 83 drivers, the French team and British driver Nathan Tye took 3rd place in the Final at the end of a highly informative meeting.

Jimmy Helias has just finished his first full European campaign in OK-Junior, a category in which he’s part of the strongest world hopes at the age of only 13! He has made rapid consistent progress to the point that the young Frenchman was battling for the podium in the final event of the FIA European Karting Championship in Italy after clinching a spectacular pole position! Two weeks earlier the official Tony Kart driver celebrated his first top-five finish in Junior in the Champions of the Future Euro Series.

The first karts equipped with OK-N engines took to the track during an official demonstration run at the final round of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK and OK-Junior in Franciacorta (ITA) on July 7.

Since January and the first international event of this intense 2022 season, Energy Corse has established itself as one of the most successful teams at the highest level of karting. Numerous successes and podiums have rewarded the efforts of the drivers and technical staff at all levels, especially in the FIA Karting European Championship in the OK and OK-Junior categories.

The final round of the Karting FIA European Championship reached an unusual intensity in OK-Junior but the Sodi Racing Team was perfectly prepared for this final event. The competitiveness shown by driver Nathan Tye allowed the Briton to take the lead in the Final and to be in a position to be crowned for a few laps. Although the numerous race hazards did not turn out in his favour in Franciacorta, Tye scored enough points over the whole competition to take 3rd place in a 2022 European Championship that was more competitive than ever!

The Tony Kart Racer 401 RR files the last round of the FIA Karting European Championship at the Franciacorta Karting Track celebrating the success in the OKJ category with Jan Przyrowski, second in the score ranking. In OK, Joseph Turney also finishes in the Top 3 in the overall standings just 3 points behind the title.

The fourth and final round of the FIA Karting European OK and OK-Junior Championship in Franciacorta saw a succession of top performances for Parolin Motorsport. Anatholy Khavlkin managed to win the OK-Junior title while Zac Drummond finished 2nd in the Final. Enzo Deligny took the OK pole position and won all the heats to secure his 4th position in the Championship while Maksim Orlov secured 8th place in the Final and the Championship.

The Franciacorta track in Italy has hosted the last of the 4 Rounds of the FIA ​​European Championship OK & OK Junior. After the races which took place in Portugal, Spain and Sweden, the Italian track awarded the titles to the Russian Khavalkin (OKJ) and the Japanese Nakamura-Berta (OK)

The 2022 FIA Karting European Championship in the OK and OK-Junior categories ended at the Franciacorta circuit, where the Birel ART-TM packages clearly showed great competitiveness. With three drivers in the top 11 on the starting grid of the OK Final and Kirill Kutskov leading at the beginning of the OK-Junior Final, the Birel ART Racing Team was hoping to celebrate an excellent result at this major international event. However, a series of race incidents destroyed all the efforts made by the technical team and the engine builders. The reds will definitely have a revenge to take in the World Championship in September.

Each in its own way, the two Finals in Franciacorta offered a breathtaking spectacle. However, neither winner became champion. Jan Przyrowski (POL) won in OK-Junior after epic battles full of twists and turns while Alex Powell (JAM) won in OK. It was Anatholy Khavalkin who became FIA Karting European Champion - OK-Junior and Kean Nakamura-Berta (GBR) who won the FIA Karting European Championship - OK after a stroke of fate.

Franciacorta will conclude Round 4 of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK and OK-Junior on its first appearance on the calendar. The battle for the titles remains open in both categories, especially as only the three best results at the end of the Super Heats and the Finals of the four events are counted.

A lot happened on the Italian circuit of Franciacorta during the thirty Qualifying Heats of the FIA Karting European OK and OK-Junior Championships. Attacks and overtaking were as numerous as the disappointments. Two drivers from the same team took the lead on Saturday evening. The faultless run of poleman Enzo Deligny (FRA) in OK echoed the rise of Anatholy Khavalkin to the top of the OK-Junior class.

Franciacorta will conclude Round 4 of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK and OK-Junior on its first appearance on the calendar. The battle for the titles remains open in both categories, especially as only the three best results at the end of the Super Heats and the Finals of the four events are counted.
