The unfamiliar 1,647-metre circuit provided exactly the test expected of it. Drivers faced intense heat, tightly packed racing and drama as the penultimate round of the 2026 Champions of the Future Academy Program International Series began at the Aspar Circuit.

There's been a trend within the Champions Of The Future Academy Program in 2026: sending drivers to new, uncharted terrain to test their ability to learn and adapt, and this weekend continues that trend. This week we visit the third circuit on the calendar to make its debut in the series, heading to Aspar, just a stone's throw from the series-opening circuit, Kartódromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero.

Whilst Senna van Walstijn claimed a commanding victory in the KZ class at the Le Mans Karting Grand Prix, ably supported on the podium by Matheus Morgatto and Anthony Abbasse, young Cees Muijs secured the very first podium finish for the Sodi Mini chassis on the international stage at Franciacorta.

The KR Motorsport team split into two groups on the last weekend of August, as the opening round of the WSK Final Cup at Franciacorta coincided with the Grand Prix Karting KZ event at Le Mans.

At the Kristianstad circuit in Sweden, the venue for the fourth and final round of the FIA Karting European Championship, their Tony Kart Racer 401 T dominated the ‘Junior’ final and narrowly missed out on a podium finish in the ‘Senior’ class.

Parolin Motorsport completed the FIA Karting European Championship season at Kristianstad with a commanding OK victory for William Calleja and a podium for Dean Hoogendoorn. Calleja won every race he contested before dominating the Final, while Hoogendoorn finished 3rd to secure the same position in the Championship. Gioele Girardello ended the OK-Junior campaign 4th in the standings after showing front-running pace, and Troy Ferguson produced an exceptional 21-place recovery in the Final.

The KR-IAME teams travelled to Sweden to contest the two FIA Karting European Championship titles in the OK and OK-Junior classes. Mission accomplished with a one-two finish in OK thanks to Noah Baglin and Zac Drummond, as well as a clean sweep of the top three places in OK-Junior with Will Green, Daniel Miron Lorente and Many Nuvolini. Parolin Motorsport completed the fourth round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series at Kristianstad with front-running speed in both OK and OK-Junior, as William Calleja finished 4th in OK and Gioele Girardello led the factory team in OK-Junior with 9th. Dean Hoogendoorn produced one of the strongest recovery drives of the weekend in OK before penalties dropped him to 14th, while Troy Ferguson also moved forward in the OK-Junior Final.

Performing increasingly well throughout the fourth round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series, the KR-IAME teams ultimately made a clear mark in both categories during the Kristianstad finals. Noah Baglin and Zac Drummond secured a one-two finish in OK, whilst Daniel Miron Lorente crossed the finish line first in the OK-Junior final, before being joined on the podium by Priam Bruno. Ahead of the series’ final round in Sarno in September, Kart Republic factory karts occupy the top three places in the overall series standings, in both OK and OK-Junior.
