The 2025 season of the Champions of the Future Euro Series kicks off this week at the International Circuit of Campillos, in southern Spain. The engines are turned on today for the first free practice sessions on the Campillos circuit where the 1st round of the Champions of the Future series for the OK and OK Junior categories is scheduled for Saturday. This Series will take place over 5 rounds and will follow the same calendar as the FIA European Championship and will end on the eve of the FIA World Championship on the Kristianstad track, Sweden. For this reason, it represents a great test in preparation for the FIA events, also because, unlike other international meetings, it is run with the same tyres.

On the occasion of the fourth round of the WSK Super Master Series, the Tony Kart Racer 401 T chassis wins the final of the OKJ category with Ilie Tristan Crisan and comes close to the podium in OK class with Jindřich Pešl.

The FIA has introduced the FIA Standard 8877-2022 Protective Clothing for Karting Competitors, marking a significant advancement in karting protective garments, enhancing safety performance and design requirements and, for the first time, introduces these requirements also for karting gloves and karting shoes.

At the occasion of the 2024 FIA General Assemblies week in Kigali, Rwanda, the FIA has announced the creation of an unprecedented Global Karting Plan that establishes a clearer and more accessible pathway into and throughout the FIA Karting system. Karting is the entry point for the vast majority of motorsport competitors, and the plan focuses on increasing accessibility to the discipline that will provide equal opportunities to drivers all over the world.

As in 2023, the FIA Karting prize-giving ceremony took place in Nice, France, on Saturday 7th December at the Hyatt Regency Palais de la Méditerranée. The karts of the three World Champions were displayed to the guests.

The magnificent Al Forsan International Sport kart circuit and its spectacular layout brought the first season of the Champions of the Future Academy Programme to a close in the sunshine and heat of the United Arab Emirates. The 'arrive and drive' concept of the programme is set to become a benchmark in the world of karting. In the presence of eminent motorsport personalities, Spain's Luna Fluxa Cross in the Senior class, Australia's James Anagnostiadis in the Junior class and Belgium's Priam Bruno in the Mini class received their 2024 Champions trophies.
