A significant part of the 2026 season is already behind us, but the most important chapter is still to come. The FIA European Championship, Champions of the Future and the majority of the WSK events have now been completed after a busy first half of the year.

Whilst Senna van Walstijn claimed a commanding victory in the KZ class at the Le Mans Karting Grand Prix, ably supported on the podium by Matheus Morgatto and Anthony Abbasse, young Cees Muijs secured the very first podium finish for the Sodi Mini chassis on the international stage at Franciacorta.

The KR Motorsport team split into two groups on the last weekend of August, as the opening round of the WSK Final Cup at Franciacorta coincided with the Grand Prix Karting KZ event at Le Mans.

The winners of the Finals are: Burns (OKN), Moehring (OKNJ), Miras (MINI U10), El Gahoudi (MINI Gr3), Perico (OKJ), and Krutogolov (OK).

The WSK Final Cup will consist of three events, accompanying teams and drivers through the end of the season. Action gets underway on the weekend of August 30th at the Franciacorta Karting Track, featuring the MINI, OKNJ, OKN, OKJ, and OK categories.

The opening round of the WSK Final Cup is all set for the closing act that will take place on Sunday, August 30th, with TV Live Streaming coverage.

The first round of the WSK Final Cup at the Franciacorta Karting Track features the first thrilling challenges among the 300 drivers in this major international karting event organized by WSK Promotion. The championship, which has represented the season finale since 2011 following the WSK Super Master Series and WSK Euro Series, will conclude with two subsequent rounds in Lonato and Viterbo.

The Franciacorta Karting Track is gearing up to host the first round of the WSK Final Cup with 320 entered drivers.

Over 300 drivers are expected at the weekend of August 30th at the Franciacorta Karting Track for the first of the three rounds of the WSK Final Cup.

The three rounds of the WSK Final Cup will have some changes. KZ2 will take place in two rounds, to be held in Lonato and Viterbo. The round in Lonato has been moved to November 18-22. Entries accepted from July 31st, 2026.

Following a double podium finish in the WSK Super Master Series in 2026, the Modena Kart Racing Team has added another line to its already impressive list of achievements by winning the WSK Euro Series. Consistently among the frontrunners at the sweltering Cremona Circuit, Sweden’s Elton Hedfors secured his third consecutive podium finish and was crowned the new WSK Euro Series champion. At the wheel of his high-performance Parolin-TM, Luigi d’Ascoli went from strength to strength to score enough points to round out the top three in the series’ final standings.

At the Cremona circuit, Max Orlov claimed the Championship ahead of his team-mates Dion Van Werven and Jenson Graham following a masterful Final race. Sodi chassis secured a one-two-three finish in the KZ2 class, whilst the Sodikart Racing Team showed great promise in Mini Gr.3 thanks to Alfie Garrett’s superb comeback.

The 2026 titles went to Orlov (KZ2), Firhand (OK), Babicek (OKJ), Miras (MINI U10 sub-judice), Mair (MINI Gr.3), Hedfors (OK-NJ), and Giudice (OK-N).

For this important mid-summer event, the starting grids are again quite packed, with approximately 280 drivers from over 50 nations in the MINI Under 10, MINI Gr3, OK-NJ, OK-N, OKJ, OK, and KZ2 categories.

After the heats held on Thursday and Friday, the top spot is held by Orlov (KZ2), Dergunov (OKJ), Firhand (OK), Miras Y Munoz (MINI U10), Mair (MINI Gr.3), Costea (OK-NJ), Marchesi and Giudice (OK-N).
