The Adria Karting Raceway is gearing up ahead of the second round of the WSK Open Cup that is packed after the opening round in Lonato. The provisional entry list already counts 250 drivers for the event that will get underway this weekend of October 3rd. MINI is already full with 108 drivers!

The leaders of the WSK Open Cup’s round of Adria after the heats are Tonteri in KZ2, Kucharczyk in OK, Slater in OKJ and Cosma-Cristofor in MINI. The final stages will be available through the Live streaming on Sunday, October 3rd. Prefinals will be at 10:40, Finals at 13:50.

Some surprises characterized qualifying practice and heats on Friday. More heats are in the menu for Saturday, while the final stages with Live Streaming coverage will be on Sunday, October 3rd.

From 29^th September to 3^rd October, the Adria racetrack will host the 2^nd and final Round of the WSK Open Cup, an event that will be attended by the usual classes competing in the WSK Series: the Mini, the OKJ, the OK and the KZ category.

The McLaren Formula 1 driver chose the WSK Open Cup as the stage for launching his new kart that will make its official debut in 2022 under the brand LN Racing Kart. The weekend of the second round of the WSK Open Cup will kick off on Friday, October 1st with 253 entered drivers from 52 nations. Up for grabs are the titles of MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2.

The circuit changed but figures are still as high as in the opening round of the championship in Lonato: 250 drivers already entered the second round to be held in Adria. Classifications are still open to all results thanks also to the increased points scoring scheme for the second round.    

The last part of the season opened on September 17th-19th at the Lonato circuit with the first of the two WSK Open Cup events. The official Parolin Motorsport team had changed its look for the occasion and adjusted to accommodate the arrival of young drivers. While Brando Badoer made his debut in KZ2, Enzo Deligny finished in the OK-Junior top five just ahead of Maksim Orlov, Christian Costoya shone in the Mini top five while newcomer Dries Van Langendonck showed great potential.

Giuseppe Palomba came very close to shining in the first round of the WSK Open Cup held in Lonato from 17th to 19th September. The competition, which opened the closing part of the season, confirmed the competitiveness of the Birel ART chassis with TM Racing engines in all categories and in all conditions, with rain interfering with the racing on Sunday morning. Despite several incidents, the official Birel ART Racing team took plenty of top 10 results.

On the occasion of the first round of the WSK Open Cup, at the South Garda Karting, the Kosmic Racing Department achieves a pole position and a fifth final position in OK with the Kosmic Mercury R driven by Luigi Coluccio. Good performances also in OKJ with Ean Eyckmans.

On the occasion of the first round of the series by WSK Promotion, their Tony Kart Racer 401R gains the victory and a third position in the OK class with Turney and Taponen, while it even signs a double win in OKJ class with Egozi and Keeble.

Jesse Carrasquedo Jr. was determined to represent the Mexican flag and his Parolin Motorsport team in the opening round of the WSK Open Cup, but he was unsuccessful at the worst moment of the competition, even though the young kart driver had made up many places during the Qualifying sessions. In Italy, Jesse gained more experience and he knows that he will soon have other opportunities to showcase his skills, both in karting and in single-seaters.

The drivers of the team proved to be competitive on the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato and carried out important work in view of the next events.

The Sodikart brand and its partner CPB Sport once again demonstrated the quality of their equipment in KZ2, dominating the opening round of the WSK Open Cup. In the wet as well as in the dry, the Sodi-TM packages proved to be impressive in Lonato. Senna Van Walstijn finished as the winner, while Adrien Renaudin completed his magnificent comeback with a 3rd place in the Final.

The WSK Open Cup weekend in Lonato has been characterized by an important and productive amount of work for the CRG Racing Team. But it is also about lower results, compared to the expectations and the potential shown in many phases of the race weekend. The final day of the event was affected by the rain which, as we know, always generates a sort of lottery on the track, between driver mistakes and set up moves to be done in a short time, assuming the evolution of the track.

The victories at the South Garda Karting went to Joe Turney in OK, Emanuele Olivieri in MINI, Senna Van Walstijn in KZ2 and Luis James Egozi in OKJ.    

A total of 260 drivers from 50 different countries gathered at the South Garda Karting in Lonato to contest the opener of the WSK Open Cup in MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2. Prefinals and Finals with Live Streaming coverage will be on Sunday, September 19th.    

Qualifying heats ended the first selection of the 250 drivers of the WSK Open Cup at the South Garda Karting circuit. The integral coverage of the final stages will be broadcast through the Live Streaming on Sunday, September 19th.
