For the first homologation of the Mini CIK-FIA international class, OTK Kart Group (Tony Kart, Kosmic, Exprit, Redspeed) is introducing the new 2020 Mini Rookie chassis, renewed in materials, frame geometries and equipped with the new M8 bodyworks and BSM5 brake system.

One of the greatest news of the 2020 racing season will the debut of the new international Mini category, dedicated to drivers from 9 to 12 years old. This market branch gained more and more importance in the last years, despite the lack of a common technical regulation in the several championships. With the FIA homologations, the goal is balancing the market and the technical regulations of all the main youth championships in the world, including international series such as the WSK and the events promoted by RGMMC.

BRP-Rotax proudly presents its newest development in the e-kart field – the project E20. Having introduced its first electric race kart powertrain called Rotax THUNDeR with its joint venture partner S.M.R.E. / IET in 2017, BRP-Rotax has been developing this new electric powertrain fully in-house. The project E20 was launched at the occasion of the 20^th anniversary of the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in Sarno, Italy, where the international RMC karting community was gathered.

BRP-Rotax is proud to announce that for the upcoming season in 2020, it will introduce several upgrades to both the Micro MAX and Mini MAX engine configuration, which will achieve four main objectives: · Ease of use & installation · Less sensitive operation · More cost-effective · Limit manipulation of components. Thanks to a new regulation adopted for the 2019 World Championships, the drivers were able to use an extra set of slick tyres for the Final, guaranteeing perfect sporting equality for all. Lorenzo Travisanutto won his duel with Juho Valtanen, the leader at the start of the race. At the end, the Finn was unable to counter the final rush of the two Britons Taylor Barnard and Harry Thompson, who accompanied the Italian champion on the podium. The excitement of the many spectators gathered around the circuit testified to the intensity of this Final. For LeCont, it was a new technological challenge that has been successfully met. 

Organised this year in Finland, the FIA ​​Karting World Championship in OK was a great sporting and popular success. In front of full stands, Lorenzo Travisanutto won a second consecutive world crown after an exciting Final. At a meeting with extremely changeable weather conditions, LeCont tyres played their role perfectly, ensuring performance, consistency and sporting fairness, both in the dry and the wet.

Wonderful weekend at the Powerpark Circuit in Alahärmä, Finland, where our DJT engine pushes Thomas Ten Brinke towards the victory of the FIA Karting World Championship – Junior. The success is completed by the podiums conquered by Siksnelis, also in OKJ, and Thompson, third in OK with the DST engine.

Double third step of the podium for Vortex in OKJ in Le Mans: in final with Ugo Ugochukwu and in the championship rating with Thomas Ten Brinke. 

Selected by tender to supply tyres to the drivers in the OK category of the 2019 FIA ​​Karting European Championship, the manufacturer LeCont perfectly fulfilled the mission that the CIK-FIA entrusted them with. Throughout the four Grand Prix Kart races in France (twice), in Belgium and Sweden, sporting fairness has prevailed. The very high standard of competition gave rise to magnificent battles and suspense that held until the end, on the very demanding international circuit of Le Mans.

Excellent performance for the whole Vortex range at the South Garda Karting in Lonato, conquering the victory and the KZ2 title thanks to Marco Ardigò, and the podiums in the OK and OKJ Finals.

The issue of tyre wear was frequently at the heart of the drivers' and teams' concerns during the Swedish Kart Grand Prix at Kristianstad. As the European Championship for OK enters its decisive phase, LeCont tyres continue to contribute to the success of FIA Karting meetings, thanks to recognised manufacturing quality.

Despite the surprises reserved by bad weather on the Genk track, the Vortex engines support the drivers very well in the fight for the victory and conquer three podiums.

After France and the Angerville circuit, the drivers registered for the FIA ​​Karting European Championship - OK travelled to Genk, Belgium, for the second of four meetings in the 2019 season. A new date, a new place, different conditions and different rankings, but one consistency: the quality and consistency of LeCont tyres.
