Coronavirus emergency: CRG activates some safety measures CRG factory closes from march 16th to 20th

Italy is currently among the countries most affected by Coronavirus and the consequences that this global emergency is generating on karting are both sporting and productive. Italy represents an unparalleled world centre in terms of production chain and, at the same time, many competitive events of international importance such as the WSK races are held in our country. It is therefore clear how the current emergency has an impact on the whole world of karting.

The latest measures of the Italian government have imposed the suspension of sporting events in Italy and many operating restrictions for companies based in the north of the country. From a sporting point of view, all the WSK races (Master and Euro Series) scheduled until March 29th have been cancelled and from a production point of view, CRG agrees to introduce prompt safety protocols in order to limit every possible danger for its personnel.

First of all, all the meetings of people in the company have been reduced at the most (meetings, presentations, interviews with customers and suppliers in the company), activating alternative IT tools whenever possible, as well as a continuous working time has been introduced from 8:00 to 16:00 to limit staff movements. From a production point of view, the situation is being monitored day by day also to evaluate and consequently manage in the best possible way, any consequence on production caused by reductions or delays in the supply of raw materials and external processes.

Following the Coronavirus emergency, after reducing the number of employees in the offices and in the Racing Team, with the activation of smart working solutions, CRG SpA also decided to suspend the production for a week, closing the factory from Monday 16th to Friday 20th of March.

It is a courageous decision taken by the Tinini’s family in order to protect its employees, suppliers and customers, considering the gravity of the situation in Northern Italy’s productive area. The communication with customers will continue through e-mails, to be sent to crg@kartcrg.com

The direction’s, marketing’s and customer service’s mobile numbers will be active as well. Further information will follow in the next days through the company’s social channels and the official website www.kartcrg.com
