Qualifying Practices Officially Open Round 3 of the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy at Franciacorta

Approximately 240 drivers competed across six categories, divided into ten qualifying sessions, determining the starting grid for the heats.
 

Mini MAX - Becker, What a surprise!
The headline is the pole position of German driver Maxim Becker (C4-Racing), the fastest qualifier in group 2, who secured his first pole position in the RMCET in his career. Becker's group was the fastest of the two; leading the other group was Albert Friend from Strawberry Racing, representing the UK.
 

Junior MAX - Maximov takes the lead in his season debut
Boaz Maximov (Bouvin Power) is the poleman in Junior MAX. The Dutch driver narrowly beat Wackersdorf winner Casper Nissen (RS Competition), who was second in his group and third overall. Championship leader Jacob Ashcroft (Dan Holland Racing) was second overall and poleman in the first group.
 

Senior MAX - Bearman secures second pole in 2024
KR Sport’s Thomas Bearman claimed pole position! The British driver, consistently fast in qualifying, having also taken pole in the RMC Winter Cup, prevailed over Matthew Higgins (Dan Holland Racing), fresh off a victory in Germany and fastest in group 3, and Hungary's Armand Hamilton from Strawberry Racing.
 

DD2 and DD2 Masters - Shchurko takes over from Bol. Picot, it’s poker!
Lithuanian driver Maxim Shchurko (Lenktyniu Linija) topped the DD2 category. A margin of 0.051” allowed him to stay ahead of Belgian Lenn Nijs (Schepers Racing) and Latvian Tomass Bristins (MRG Racing). In DD2 Masters, Nicolas Picot (Privateer) remains undefeated, securing his fourth consecutive pole in 2024.
 

E20 Senior - Vargas sets the fastest lap
In E20 Senior, the fastest was Raul Vargas (SLK Racing Academy), beating Wackersdorf winner Spencer Brougham (Privateer) from the UK and Hungarian Balazs Totis (Privateer).

Now it's time for the heats, which will determine the starting grid for the Prefinals between this afternoon and tomorrow.
