Register now online for the DKM - Five races spread over Germany and Genk

Frankfurt on the Main. The kick-off to the German Kart Championship 2020 season is going to happen on January 6^th at 12 o’clock with the start of the online registration. Interested drivers can register for the four grade series DKM (OK), DJKM (OK-Junior), DSKM (KZ2) and DSKC (KZ2) on the website www.kart-dm.de. The racing calendar consists of five races spread over Germany and Belgium.

Shortly after the season finale in Ampfing, the German Kart Championship already presented its racing calendar for 2020. The highest German kart racing series stays true to its strong program of the past years. From May 8^th – 10^th, things are going to continue where the 2019 season ended – on the Schweppermannring in Ampfing. After that, the DKM is going to stay in Bavaria: The second event is going to take place at the beginning of June (5^th – 7^th) at the Prokart Raceland Wackersdorf.

The half-time event is going to take place from July 17^th – 19^th on the traditional Erftlandring in Kerpen. After a six-week summer break, a premiere awaits the participants from August 28^th – 30^th: For the first time, the DKM is going to take place on the new race track in Mülsen (Saxony). The Arena E is 1.350m long and complies with the highest international standards. The big season finale is then going to take place at the beginning of October (2^nd – 4^th) in Belgian Genk. The race track close to the German-Dutch border is the only foreign track for the DMSB grade series in 2020.

The DKM upholds continuity regarding the regulations: All classes are going to start with Vega tires again. Additionally, the DKM provides an extensive race-control with top modern 4K camera technique and 16 hours of live images of every racing weekend as well as an extensive fostering program again.

Online registration starts January 6th

The online registration for the 2020 season is going to start on January 6^th at 12 o’clock on the DKM website www.kart-dm.de. Everyone who posts their registration papers until March 1^st 2020, pays a participation fee of 2.700€ for the complete DKM, DJKM and DSKM season, 2.400€ for the DSKC. Registrations entered after March 1^st 2020 have to pay an additional late fee of 500€ per DMSB grade series. The environment and disposal-charge is already included in the participation fee again.

Visitors of the international kart fair from January 25th – 26th 2020 in Offenbach on the Main can also get lots of information regarding the DKM. The German Motorsports Foundation (DMSB) is going to present itself to the audience in Hall A1 – booth 14.

DEKM starts with new E-kart in 2020

The globally unique German Electric Kart Championship (DEKM) is going to take place within the framework of the DKM again. In 2020, the new Electric kart – the prototype “Project E20” was presented at the DEKM season finale 2019 – by BRP-Rotax is going to be used in the DEKM and promises even more race feeling than its predecessor due to less weight, a higher performance and longer driving time. The participation fee is going to be 2.580€ per racing event and covers the provision and transport of the E-kart incl. trolley to all events, a unified racing suit and team wear for driver and mechanics. Also, the unified VEGA tires for the official test days as well as hospitality tickets will also be included. Registration is going to happen at a later date, separately on www.dekm.de.
