Conde, Brazil  – Welcome to the third day of the 19th Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals here at Circuito International Paladino. Tuesday provided the second day of thrilling on track action with each driver competing in 3 more non-qualifying practices.

The first Final of the RMCGF 2018 also took place today for the ECK FIA-Americas. It was a home win for Brazil’s Roberto Da Silv Sergio ahead of Karim Bock Hussein and Juan Jose Rodriguez Diaz. The Top 3 will be joined by 4th placed Guillermo Gabitto Britez as they all get to compete in the DEKM Rotax Grand Finals this week alongside the Championship drivers.

GENK – A glimpse at the podium after the Golden Trophy races in Genk was enough to confirm that Strawberry Racing remains a force to be reckoned with in Rotax Max. The very successful karting squad from Sheffield scored a one-two-three in the Senior category on Sunday. With Steve Armstrong as the new team manager, things are looking very good for next season.

The host venues for the opening events on the 2019 National Karting Calendar have been confirmed. The Rotax Pro Tour will kick off the year at Melbourne’s Todd Road circuit on January 26/27.  It will be the first of six rounds for the National Series. The opening event in the 2019 SP Tools Australian Kart Championship will be hosted by the Ipswich Kart Club in Queensland on February 15-17.

The final round of the Tuto Super One Series was packed with brilliant racing in the fine autumn weather at PF International. All classes were racing at this event apart from Rotax 177.

Canadian Samuel Lupien won the US Open 2018 amongst an impressive field of seniors, making this the fifth time he has qualified for the RMCGF – including vice champion in Mini MAX 2013.

The much-anticipated staging of the Rotax US Grand Nationals / US Open 2018 brought together a strong depth of competitors to contest each of the Rotax categories, where 120 drivers lined-up on the grid in the battle for the USA and Open titles, plus the chance to qualify to represent their country at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in Brazil this coming November.

The Gold Coast Race of Stars karting extravaganza will be the focus for drivers from all across the globe this October.

From June 30th to July 1st, BRP-Rotax brought the future into the pre-sent and started off at full throttle at the very first race of the DEKM (Deutsche Elektro-Kart-Meisterschaft). The eagerly awaited race was held on one of Germany’s most modern motorsport arenas, Oschersleben.
