Best prepared, the modern karting complex of Campillos near Malaga was a perfect venue for the season kick-off – a challenging 1,588 metres long track with professional facilities for all involved. And even the weather was perfect. A sunny but windy weekend with temperatures of about 18° C guaranteed best race conditions for the drivers who were heading for victory in the categories of Micro MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, MAX DD2 and MAX DD2 Masters.

The new website is online, the registration is open for the Micro Max (Age of 7 to 11 Years / 8th birthday in 2020) and Mini Max (Age of 9 to 13 Years / 10th birthday in 2020) Grand Festival 2020. The Parolin Rocky class (Age of 7 to 10 Years) has been added to this amazing event.

Building on the undeniable success of the first edition, BRP-Rotax and 3MK Events continue their collaboration, in partnership with the ACO, to organise the 2020 Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy from Tuesday, July 28 to Saturday, August 1 at the Le Mans International Karting circuit in France. This impressive event offers a unique karting experience as well as attractive side events throughout the weekend.

We are proud to announce the location of the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals 2020: it is BAHRAIN! The best RMC drivers worldwide will take to the desert from November 07^th -14^th, 2020 for the annual highlight of the karting season.  

After its world crown in 2019 to celebrate the brand's 60 years of existence, the Birel ART Racing Team is getting ready for more success in 2020. International high-level competition remains the scene of the most spectacular sporting and technical confrontations between the main chassis manufacturers, and Birel ART intends to showcase its skill by aiming for the top places in the four categories in which it is involved.

The 2020 drivers line-up will be presented in January together with the racing programmes, that will include the participation to all the FIA events and the main international meetings.

After the great success of the first edition of the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy in Le Mans last year, BRP-Rotax is proud to announce that it has – partnering again with 3MK Events and Le Mans Karting International / ACO Automobile Club de l'Ouest – fixed the date for 2020.

BRP-Rotax would like to inform all customers that a CIK-FIA approved rear bumper will now be mandatory for any Rotax MAX Challenge (RMC) events/series listed on the FIA Karting Sporting Calendars 2020, in order meet the latest CIK-FIA chassis requirements of the use of CIK-FIA homologated equipment.

Bora Karting will take over the distributorship from Mach5 effective immediately to service and develop the Rotax customer base of Brazil, while building up the participation at the Rotax MAX Challenge race series throughout Brazil.

One of the greatest news of the 2020 racing season will the debut of the new international Mini category, dedicated to drivers from 9 to 12 years old. This market branch gained more and more importance in the last years, despite the lack of a common technical regulation in the several championships. With the FIA homologations, the goal is balancing the market and the technical regulations of all the main youth championships in the world, including international series such as the WSK and the events promoted by RGMMC.

BRP-Rotax proudly presents its newest development in the e-kart field – the project E20. Having introduced its first electric race kart powertrain called Rotax THUNDeR with its joint venture partner S.M.R.E. / IET in 2017, BRP-Rotax has been developing this new electric powertrain fully in-house. The project E20 was launched at the occasion of the 20^th anniversary of the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in Sarno, Italy, where the international RMC karting community was gathered.

As a key element of the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals' success as the supplier of the Senior Max and DD2 Masters chassis, Sodikart refines its active participation in this global event every year. During the 20th edition, which took place in Sarno, Italy, from 19th to 26th October 2019, the French brand once again achieved a flawless result that satisfied every user of the chassis "made in France".

2019 was a year of significant anniversaries: the 60th for Birel ART, the 20th for the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals and a successful collaboration. An official supplier to the major annual Rotax event for eight years, Birel ART has confirmed its ability to produce quality chassis by supplying the Mini Max categories under the Compkart brand and DD2 under its own colours. A total of 108 drivers were satisfied with their mounts after six days of intense competition at the Italian circuit of Sarno, near Naples. 

What a great and exciting day here at the 20^th edition of the RMC Grand Finals 2019. After the traditional drivers parade of all the participating nations in the morning, we saw 360 of the best kart-drivers of the world competing for the title. Thrilling and amazing action on the track impressed as one of the closest competitions in the history of the Grand Finals. The deserving winners were crowned this afternoon during the prize-giving ceremony before the celebration of the 20^th anniversary of the Grand Finals at the Drivers Party.
