The pressure was on today as drivers sought to bank an early advantage during Round 2 of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship. A gloomy weather forecast for Saturday raised the stakes with drivers knowing every lap today could be crucial in setting Sunday’s final grid.

Three weeks after the season opener in Italy, the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship heads to Spain this weekend as 246 OK, Junior and Academy Senior drivers will descend on the Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero in Chiva, near Valencia, with title ambitions sharpening and championship momentum shifting up a gear.

At the start of the season, Kart Republic’s aim in the OK and OK-Junior categories was to achieve maximum competitiveness at the opening round of the FIA Karting European Championship. Clearly, this objective was achieved at the World Circuit in La Conca, with four podium finishes, including two victories!

A day of Qualifying Heats under the southern Italian sun has left Daniel Miron Lorente and Noah Baglin ahead as we look to tomorrow’s Super Heats and Finals that will begin to put the first points on the 2026 Modokart.com FIA Karting European Championship table.

The 2026 FIA Karting season officially got underway today as karts hit the track for the first time and drivers got to grips with the La Conca circuit in southern Italy. Following free practice sessions earlier this morning, drivers had their first opportunity to get a nose ahead in the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship standings as Qualifying Practice began.

Karting has always been the proving ground of motorsport. It is where raw talent first reveals itself. But talent is only meaningful if it is exposed properly.

As in 2024, the magnificent Al Forsan International Sports Resort circuit in Abu Dhabi will have the honour of bringing Season 2 of the 2025 Champions of the Future Academy Program to a spectacular conclusion. From 1st to 3rd December, the three categories OK-N Senior, OK-N Junior and Mini will feature extremely competitive fields, proof of the appeal of the ‘Arrive and Drive’ concept implemented by RGMMC.

In the United Arab Emirates, numerous drivers took part in the fifth and penultimate round of the Champions of the Future Academy Program, confirming the success of the series and its "arrive and drive" concept. The objective of complete sporting fairness was once again achieved, allowing drivers to make their mark in a high-level competition, organised with rigour and professionalism by RGMMC.

Blessed with warm, summery weather, the drivers enjoyed near-perfect conditions — and they delivered some of the most intense and spectacular racing of the year so far.

The 2025 Champions of the Future Academy Program has just reached the halfway point of the season and continues to produce exciting and thrilling racing. The illustrious Jesolo circuit hosted lively races and confirmed the legitimacy of the "arrive and drive" system promoted by RGMMC. In Italy, several new drivers, both male and female, celebrated their first podium finishes in the series. The next three events, to be held in Europe and the United Arab Emirates, promise to be wide open.

With many years of experience organising major FIA Karting events, the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve will host the opening round of the brand new Senior Academy Trophy to be organised over three competitions in 2025. A total of 232 drivers are racing in these three categories at Portimao.

A warmer breeze and a clearer sky greeted drivers for the second and final day of racing in Valencia. The Mini 60, OK-N Junior, and OK-N Senior categories delivered intense on-track drama as the fight for the series rankings continued to unfold. Sunday featured an entire fresh day with timed qualifying sessions, two more qualifying heats per category, and the all-important finals with the storylines shaken up again since Saturday.

Under cloudy skies at the Kartódromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero, the second round of the 2025 Champions of the Future Academy Program kicked off with intense competition across the Mini 60, OK-N Junior, and OK-N Senior categories. With the rain holding off, Saturday delivered a dry first day highlighted by several standout performances that set the tone for the rest of the weekend.

Matveev (OK), Iliffe (OKJ, Calleja (MINI Gr.3), Legenkyi (MINI Gr.3 U10), Apicella (OK-N), and Hoogendoorn (OKNJ) claimed the pole positions of the second round of the WSK Euro Series.

It will be a very "hot" weekend the one we are about to experience on the Cremona circuit and not only due to the high atmospheric temperatures. In fact, the Italian track will host the last Round of the FIA ​​European Championship for the OK and OK-Junior categories, with both titles to be awarded. At CRG there is particular interest in the major category, the OK one, where the Brazilian Gabriel Gomez is currently in P2 in the general standings with 202 points, just 6 points behind the leader Rene Lammers. The battle for victory, mathematically also includes Alex Powell, who is actually in P3 in the standings with 165 points, but in all likelihood, it will be a two-way challenge, which will already start from the qualifying stages with the assignment of the first scoring.

The competition was fierce during the Qualifying Heats on the new circuit in Rødby, Denmark. Kean Nakamura-Berta (GBR) and Alex Powell (JAM) occupied the top two positions in the OK category, while Iacopo Martinese (ITA) took the lead in OK-Junior. The selection will continue on Sunday morning during the Super Heats, while two Qualifying Heats are still to be contested in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy. Santino Panetta (ARG) and Vasileios Apostolidis (GRC) are currently level on points at the top of the standings.

The 3rd Round of the Champions of the Future on the Rødby track (Denmark), the Series in which the drivers and the teams work on the basis of the FIA ​​European Championship races, was a very productive weekend for the CRG Racing Team. From the point of view of the sporting result, a new victory for Gabriel Gomez in the OK category shines: the CRG KT2 chassis has once again proved to be versatile and fast in all track conditions. The Brazilian driver closed the Qualifying phase in P2, then won the Super Heat and conquered the Final with a good margin over the 2nd classified, demonstrating a truly impressive race pace.

Contrary to the forecasts, Saturday was a day of good weather with clear skies and temperatures in excess of 20°C. Gabriel Gomez (ITA) made a perfect run in the Qualifying Heats of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK, while Oleksandr Bondarev (UKR) did the same in the FIA Karting European Championship - Junior. The FIA Karting Academy Trophy drivers are due to compete in their last two heats on Sunday morning, but the provisional standings so far give the lead to Marius Barry-Berg (NOR). The Super Heats are on the OK and OK-Junior programme on Sunday morning.
