After an eight-week break, the German Kart Championship is back on the racetrack. In Belgian Genk, the half-time event of the highest German Kart racing series is going to take place next weekend. Over 130 drivers from all over the world will be at the start - again including the German Electric Kart Championship.

The German Kart Championship travelled to the Prokart Raceland in Wackersdorf for its third event of the season. For the first time this year, the weather was a deciding factor. Three weeks after the season kick-off to the German Kart Championship in Kerpen, the highest German kart racing series took place in the Erftland again for its second event. With changed weather conditions, there were a couple of changes among the championships. The participants of the German Electric Kart Championship experienced their season kick-off. Juho Valtanen, Luca Griggs (both DKM), Kris Haanen (DJKM), Stan Pex (DSKM), Tim Tröger (DSKC) as well as Sebastian Kraft and Joel Mesch (both DEKM) finished the races as winners.

110 drivers from Europe started into the new season of the German Kart Championship last weekend (August 7th – 9th) and experienced a red-hot battle. Winners Kris Haanen (DJKM), Kas Haverkort (DKM), Jorrit Pex, Fabian Federer (both DSKM) and Julian Müller (DSKC) kept the coolest heads.

Callum Bradshaw held on to his lead in Senior, joined on top of the standings by Ruben Volt (Junior) and Leo Robinson (Mini). With a hectic summer season program underway, Team Evolution is pushing hard to make every weekend count. Round 4 of the IAME Series Benelux 2019 was no exception, as the British team secured three podiums and notable results amidst the challenging weather conditions throughout the event at the Karting Genk – ‘Home of Champions’ circuit in Belgium. In the X30 Senior category, Joey van Splunteren bounced back to the top, after a less than satisfying Euro Series round recently, outperforming all his competitive rivals for victory and his invitation to the IAME International Final at Le Mans mid-October. Zach Ripley and Herolind Nuredini took a brilliant 2nd and 3rd respectively in X30 Juniors, with Ripley closing the gap on the series lead.

It was a case of “The student outdriving the Master” at the opening round of the IAME Euro Series in Belgium over the weekend, when 17-year-old Niels Koolen showed his real potential with a superb performance to secure his podium place on Sunday, ahead of his personal coach and leading Team Evolution teammate Joey van Splunteren.  For the British-based team, it was an excellent way to begin the 2019 European X30 Series, as they take on the some tough rivals.

The first round of the IAME X30 Euro Series welcomed this weekend in Mariembourg, in Belgium, 172 drivers from 20 countries, largely increased compared to 2018, something that highlights the growing success of the competition promoted by RGMMC. Run in beautiful conditions on the Karting des Fagnes International Raceway, the Finals on Sunday delivered their great racing with the first wins of 2019 going to Freddie Slater in Mini, Jason Leung in Junior, Callum Bradshaw in Senior and Philipp Seewer in Shifter.
