WSK Super Master Series takes it to the track in Sarno
From February 4th to 8th, the second round of the WSK Super Master Series will get underway at the International Circuit Napoli of Sarno. 320 international-level drivers are expected.
Following the extraordinary season opener of the WSK Super Master Series 2026 at the La Conca International Circuit on January 25th, the second round is already at the starting blocks, scheduled to take place at the International Circuit Napoli in Sarno from February 4 to 8.
The categories that opened the season—MINI, OK-NJ, OKJ, OK, and KZ2—are back on track, ready to build on the spectacle seen in the first round. While last week featured 300 drivers at La Conca, the entry list for Sarno is even larger, with 320 drivers expected to compete for the top international manufacturers and teams.
Higher points in Sarno
For the five rounds on the calendar, WSK regulations follow the traditional incremental scoring system. The Sarno round offers 10 additional points to the winners of the Prefinal and Final compared to the opening round. This increase is vital for those looking to close a gap or extend their lead. The points will continue to scale up, increasing by 20 points for the Viterbo round (February 22nd) and by 30 points for the final two rounds in Lonato (March 8th) and Franciacorta (March 22nd).
KZ2 – Orlov is the man to beat
In KZ2, the driver to beat is Max Orlov (CPB Sport – Sodikart/TM Kart/LeCont), who left his rivals no room for error in the first round. The Russian driver—already established among the top of international karting and winner of the 2024 WSK Final Cup—started this series in dominant fashion, decisively winning both the Prefinal and the Final ahead of teammates Ayden Jthien and Dion Van Werven.
However, the KZ2 field in Sarno will be much more crowded, featuring 57 drivers and many high-profile names, including Senna Van Walstijn (also with CPB Sport), Cristian Bertuca and Pedro Hiltbrand (Birelart with the new Iame engines), Emilien Denner and Markus Kajak (Formula K SRP), Danilo Albanese (KR Motorsport), Daniel Vasile (making his debut with the Maranello team alongside Giuseppe Palomba), and Viktor Gustafsson (CRG), among many others capable of taking the win.
KZ2 Championship standings:
1st Orlov Max (//) points 90
2nd Jthien Ayden (NED) points 59
3rd Van Werven Dion (NED) points 38
OK – Krutogolov is the first winner.
Lev Krutogolov (Energy Corse – Energy/Iame/LeCont) claimed victory in the OK class after a highly competitive race. Among a wide field of contenders, the Ukrainian driver—winner of Prefinal A—secured the win in the Final, benefiting from a penalty issued to Australia's James Anagnostiadis (KR Motorsport – KR/Iame).
Finishing behind him were Scotland's Zac Drummond (Fusion Motorsport – KR/Iame) and the Czech driver Jindrich Pesl (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart/Vortex). The category at La Conca saw the highest turnout of the entire event, with 88 drivers participating.
OK Championship standings:
1st Krutogolov Lev (UKR) points 86
2nd Drummond Zac (GBR) points 58
3rd Pesl Jindrich (CZE) points 57
OKJ – Pizzonia leads the pack.
Brazil’s Antonio Pizzonia (Ward Racing – Parolin/TM Kart/Vega) won everything there was to win in the OK-Junior class at La Conca. He won the heats, Prefinal A, and then dominated the Final, finishing ahead of France’s Many Nuvolini and Britain’s Will Green, both competing for KR Motorsport (KR/Iame). The category proved to be incredibly exciting due to the presence of many highly competitive young talents, featuring an impressive field of 77 drivers.
OKJ Championship standings:
1st Pizzonia Antonio (BRA) points 90
2nd Nuvolini Many (FRA) points 67
3rd Palacio Lucas (USA) points 40
OK-NJ – Perico is successful at the debut.
The OK-N Junior also saw a strong participation, proving to be an interesting national-level "bridge" category for drivers transitioning from MINI to OKJ. Niccolò Perico (KR Motorsport – KR/Iame/Vega) excelled here; having just moved up from the MINI class, he already looked perfectly at home in this higher category. At La Conca, Perico built his success starting in the heats, eventually securing victories in both Prefinal A and the Final. Rounding out the podium in second and third place were Finland’s Leo Laitinen (Parolin Finland – Parolin/TM Kart), winner of Prefinal B, and Germany’s Sebastian Riedel (Team Driver – KR/Iame).
OK-NJ Championship standings:
1st Perico Niccolò (ITA) points 90
2nd Laitinen Leo (FIN) points 69
3rd Riedel Sebastian (GER) points 44
MINI Gr.3 - El Gahoudi is the first leader.
Morocco’s Nahyl El Gahoudi (BabyRace – Parolin/Iame/Vega) capped off the La Conca weekend with a strong victory in the Final, leading the race from start to finish. Behind him, teammate Filippo Frigerio (Italy) secured second place, while Zane Pace of Malta (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart/Vortex) fought his way onto the podium with an impressive comeback drive. In Sarno, eyes will be on the American Winn Godschalk (Kidix – KR/Iame) for a comeback; after winning Prefinal A, he was knocked out of contention at the start of the Final.
MINI GR.3 Championship standings:
1st El Gahoudi Nahyl (MAR) points 89
2nd Frigerio Filippo (ITA) points 50
3rd Godschalk Wynn (USA) points 38
MINI U10 – Burgess leads the youngsters category
The photo finish in the MINI U10 category suggests once again that we are in for a highly unpredictable season. At La Conca, the Final went to America’s Zayne Burgess (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin/TM Kart/Vega), who crossed the line just 0.031 seconds ahead of Spain's Oliver Weytjens (Team Driver – KR/Iame). France's Sasha Miras y Muñoz (BabyRace – Parolin/Iame) finished third, at the end of a spectacular sprint to the line to snatch the final podium spot.
MINI 10 Championship standings:
1st Burgess Zayne (USA) points 78
2nd Miras y Muñoz Sasha (FRA) points 60
3rd Weytjens Oliver (ESP) points 45
