Three weeks after the season opener in Italy, the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship heads to Spain this weekend as 246 OK, Junior and Academy Senior drivers will descend on the Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero in Chiva, near Valencia, with title ambitions sharpening and championship momentum shifting up a gear.

After many races in Italy since the start of the season, the teams relying on the KR brand set their sights on Spain and the Lucas Guerrero circuit in Chiva for the second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series. On this track, which has already brought so much success to the Italian manufacturer Kart Republic in the past, a sensational overall result rewarded the outstanding level of performance of the KR-IAME karts: a one-two in OK with Noah Baglin and Niklas Schaufler, and another in OK-Junior with Will Green and Priam Bruno.

After four demanding days in Valencia, Round 2 of the series reached its climax with Finals that perfectly reflected the intensity of the weekend. From dry running to changing conditions, from tightly contested heats to decisive Superheats, every phase built toward Sunday’s showdowns. By the time the grids formed, margins were already minimal — and with early title momentum on the line, the Finals carried added weight, not just for race victories, but for the direction of the title fights after two rounds.

At the start of the season, Kart Republic’s aim in the OK and OK-Junior categories was to achieve maximum competitiveness at the opening round of the FIA Karting European Championship. Clearly, this objective was achieved at the World Circuit in La Conca, with four podium finishes, including two victories!

The 2026 Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship started in style in southern Italy, with KR Motorsport drivers claiming victory in both Junior and OK classes.
