Round 1 of the first edition of the Champions of the Future Racing Academy has officially come to an end, marking the beginning of a structured and ambitious development journey for five young talents.

The second and final day of testing held at the Red Bull Ring on Easter Sunday brought to a close the three pre-season tests of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship, which had kicked off at the end of March at Germany's Hockenheim circuit before moving on to Paul Ricard and, finally, Austria.

Finals day at La Conca brought a complete shift in conditions, with sunshine and a fully dry track replacing the mixed weather seen earlier in the event. After a demanding Friday of qualifying heats, Saturday’s superheats and finals provided a reset, where execution in stable conditions became the deciding factor. With grip returning and margins tightening, the focus turned to delivering across the final races of the opening round.

The 2026 Champions of the Future Euro Series fires into life this week at World Circuit La Conca, as OK and OK Junior launch the campaign in style. The 1,250 metre circuit, also known to the paddock as Muro Leccese, sits in the province of Lecce in South Eastern Italy. The surrounding town provides stunning surroundings for a weekend of elite racing with 188 talents.

Friday at La Conca saw the completion of an intense qualifying heats programme for the opening round of the Champions of the Future season, with drivers tackling a packed schedule of races across the day. Conditions shifted multiple times throughout the morning, with intermittent rain and a constantly changing track surface forcing teams into difficult decisions.
