Five Champions Crowned as DKM Season Ends with Thrilling Finals in Wackersdorf
Wackersdorf/Munich. The German Kart Championship (DKM) brought its 2026 season to a close at ProKart Raceland Wackersdorf with thrilling Finals, five new champions and a fantastic atmosphere. A total of 178 drivers competed across the five classes at the season finale. Excellent weather on both race days, numerous spectators and a great atmosphere around the 1,190-metre circuit provided a fitting setting for the final race weekend of the year.
The new champions are Emilien Denner (KZ2), Albert Poulsen (Mini), Henri Möhring (OK-N Junior), Jakub Kamenik (OK-N) and Oliver Staedtler (KZ2 Cup). The Final victories, however, did not always go to the eventual champions: Daniel Stell (KZ2), Milan Rossi (OK-N Junior), Emilio Bernd (OK-N) and Marc Gerstenkorn (KZ2 Cup) all made their mark in the season finale. Only Albert Poulsen completed his championship success with a victory in the Final.
There was also plenty to discover away from the track. As part of the cooperation with Audi and the ADAC Stiftung Sport, an Audi R26 show car was displayed in the paddock. ME Motorsport simultaneously showcased possible next steps after karting, presenting cars from the BMW M2 Cup, ADAC GT4 Germany and a BMW M4 GT3 Evo, as used in series such as the ADAC GT Masters. For the many young drivers, the finale therefore offered not only the chance to fight for championship titles, but also a direct insight into possible next steps in their motorsport careers.
KZ2: Stell Wins, Denner Secures Ten Points for the Title
The closest championship battle of the season came in KZ2. Emilien Denner (Formula K SRP Factory Team) opened the weekend with pole position, setting the first benchmark in the title fight. His direct rivals responded in the heats, however. Daniel Stell (Kartshop Ampfing) and Marek Skrivan (TB Racing Team) each won a heat, with Stell leading the standings after the heats.
Denner then won the Super Heat, securing the best starting position for the decisive Final. The situation quickly shifted in Stell's favor. The German led ahead of Norton Andreasson (TB Racing Team) and Skrivan, while Denner was fourth and also had to defend his position against Danilo Albanese (Dörr Motorsport).
Stell established himself at the front and was never seriously threatened on his way to victory. Setting the fastest lap, he won ahead of Andreasson and Skrivan. Denner finished fourth, ahead of Albanese. While Stell took the Final victory, fourth place was enough for Denner to secure the championship. After five events, the two title rivals were separated by just ten points. Denner was crowned German Kart Champion and was delighted at the season-ending awards ceremony:
“It is always great to finish a championship with the title. We did not have a perfect weekend here, but over the course of the year we were the most consistent, and that decided the overall standings.”

Mini: Albert Poulsen Completes a Perfect Finale
Among the youngest competitors, Albert Poulsen (Poulsen Motorsport) left nothing to chance during the final weekend. The championship leader set the fastest time in qualifying and also won both heats. He maintained his position at the front in the Super Heat.
Poulsen therefore started the Final from pole position ahead of Maddox Mason (Lanari Racing Team), Leo Klok (CRG Holland), Ben Bernhard (Lanari Racing Team) and Leandros Margaritis (CRG Holland).
Poulsen made the best start and initially kept Klok behind him. Roman Meister (Formula K SRP Factory Team) then fought his way back into the leading group. The battle for the podium became particularly close during the final stages, but Poulsen remained in control and secured victory ahead of Klok and Meister. Margaritis finished fourth ahead of Bernhard, while Meister also set the fastest lap.
With victories in qualifying, both heats, the Super Heat and the Final, Poulsen produced a dominant conclusion to his season. With 443 points, he secured the German Mini Kart Championship, finishing the year 53 points clear of Klok.
“It was a fantastic season for us. We had very good pace throughout the year and were able to show what was possible at the different race weekends. A big thank you goes to the entire team for their great work and support throughout the season. To finish the year as champion is, of course, a fantastic feeling. I am very happy about it and am already looking forward to next year,” said Poulsen after securing the title.

OK-N Junior: Rossi Wins Eventful Final – Möhring Takes the Title
Aurelio Longhitano (TB Racing Team) set the fastest time in qualifying, putting a new name at the front of the Junior field. The heat victories then went to Carlos Nees (Nees Racing) and Henri Möhring (Dörr Motorsport), with Nees leading the standings after the heats. Elliot Spangtoft (CV Performance Group X JP Motorsport) won the Super Heat, while Nees and Milan Rossi (Lanari Racing Team) formed the front row for the Final.
Immediately after the start, a collision occurred on the start-finish straight, resulting in several laps behind a slow zone. Nees initially led, but a close battle subsequently developed between Nees, Jindrich Svoboda (Hagemann Racing), Möhring and Rossi. During the closing stages, Rossi moved into the lead and secured victory ahead of Svoboda, Edin Keserovic (Lanari Racing Team) and Gustav Christensen (Nees Racing). Möhring crossed the line in fifth.
Nees was subsequently handed a ten-second penalty, dropping him to 20th place. This did not affect the championship outcome, however. Möhring secured the title after winning the first four Finals of the season.
“I would like to thank everyone who played a part in this success. With four wins in the first four races, we had a perfect start to the year. That meant I already knew after the heats that the title could no longer be taken away from me. Now I am looking ahead to the CIK-FIA OK-N Junior World Cup in two weeks,” said the Motorsport Team Germany driver after winning the championship.

OK-N: Kamenik Wins Championship and Road to DTM Trophy
Martina Rumlenova (MVM Racing) set the first benchmark in the OK-N class, with the Czech driver taking pole position in qualifying. The two heats also remained in Czech hands, with Jakub Kamenik (Lanari Racing Team) and Rumlenova taking one win each.
Constantin Papst (TB Racing Team) then won the Super Heat and started the Final from pole ahead of Rumlenova, Kamenik, Lias Erbersdobler (Dörr Motorsport) and Semir Velija (Lanari Racing Team).
Kamenik had already secured the championship before the Final and therefore entered the final race of the season without title pressure. Papst made the better start and led ahead of Erbersdobler. Rumlenova moved past Kamenik early on, while Leonard Frey (Ebert Motorsport) and Emilio Bernd (Marcus Bernd) joined the chasing group. Papst initially opened up a small gap, but the pack behind remained tightly bunched.
Kamenik gradually fought his way forward and moved into second. Bernd also gained positions and climbed to third. During the closing stages, the group closed back in on Papst, setting up two highly exciting final laps. Kamenik initially took the lead, but shortly afterwards both Bernd and Rumlenova found a way past the former leader. The battle for the Final victory was decided only in the closing metres.
Bernd drew alongside Kamenik on the start-finish straight and won the photo finish by just 0.008 seconds. Rumlenova finished third ahead of Papst and Erbersdobler. For Kamenik, the narrowly missed Final victory was of no consequence. The Czech driver finished the season as the new champion. Alongside the title, he also secured the Road to DTM Trophy, earning the entry fee for the 2027 season in either the BMW M2 Cup or ADAC GT4 Germany.
“It is an incredible feeling to have won the championship. I am very grateful for the support of my family and the entire team, because without them these successes and opportunities would not have been possible. I am now really excited about what lies ahead. Road to DTM gives me the opportunity to take the next step and prove myself in GT4 or the M2 Cup. I am really looking forward to it,” said Kamenik after winning the title.

KZ2 Cup: Gerstenkorn Wins Final – Staedtler Takes the Title
The KZ2 Cup once again featured a large field, with 56 drivers taking part. Oliver Staedtler (Formula K SRP Factory Team) opened the weekend with pole position. Across the following six heats, Pavel Vimmer (TB Racing Team), Marc Gerstenkorn (Mach1 Motorsport), Staedtler and Louis Binder (BRM Racing Factory S.R.L.) all took victories.
With two heat wins, Gerstenkorn led the standings on Saturday evening and secured pole position for the Final with another victory in the Super Heat. The Final developed into an eventful battle from the opening laps. Staedtler initially led before Gerstenkorn briefly moved ahead. Oskar Steinbach (Kartshop Ampfing) then overtook both drivers on the start-finish straight.
Gerstenkorn responded immediately, regained the lead and subsequently pulled away from the rest of the field together with Steinbach. He went on to secure the victory. Binder completed the podium ahead of Staedtler and Manuel Kastl (CS Competition). With 425 points, Staedtler ultimately won the KZ2 Cup ahead of Gerstenkorn and Kastl.
“It feels great to win the Cup. I had already secured the championship yesterday after the heats, so it couldn't have gone better,” said the Formula K SRP Factory Team driver after securing the title.

Lanari Racing Team Wins Team Championship
The final decision in the team championship was also made in Wackersdorf. Lanari Racing Team finished the season on top with 458 points, taking the title ahead of Formula K SRP Factory Team with 432 points and TB Racing Team with 408 points. Dörr Motorsport and Kartshop Ampfing completed the top five.
