A few weeks after a very successful trip to Campillos, the teams using equipment from the Kart Republic factory perfectly mastered the specifics of the Algarve international circuit in Portimao and those of Maxxis tyres. The second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series ended with an impressive domination by the KR-IAME teams. Brilliantly supported by their teams, with their recognised skills and professionalism, the drivers went on to successfully complete their mission in several instances. Italy's Iacopo Martinese in OK and Great Britain's Noah Baglin in OK-Junior won the Finals, which saw two trebles for the Italian brand.

Valerio Rinicella will make his debut with CL Motorsport at the opening round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, set to take place next week at the Misano World Circuit. This will mark CL Motorsport’s first-ever race appearance, kicking off a foundational year in 2025 for the Italian outfit as they refine and strengthen their racing operations.

Guinchard reclaims GB4 Championship lead with Silverstone triumph

Hillspeed’s Daniel Guinchard returned to the top of the GB4 Championship standings after his first series victory in the final race of the Silverstone weekend, becoming the fifth different winner from the six races held so far this year. Before that, Elite’s Isaac Phelps earned his second win of the year in race two, fending off race one winner Alex Kattoulas on the run to the line, with Ary Bansal securing the second Elite podium clean sweep of the season.

Slater heads GB3 Championship standings after stunning Silverstone double

Hillspeed’s Freddie Slater maintained his early GB3 Championship lead with another stunning victory on Sunday at Silverstone. From pole position, the British driver led every lap of the second contest, and was on course to win by over 10 seconds, only for a late safety car to wipe out his advantage. Meanwhile, series returnee Will Macintyre claimed his first win of the year for Elite Motorsport in the reverse grid final race. Slater holds a 15-point lead at the top of the standings over JHR’s Noah Lisle, with Nikita Johnson third for Hitech after a strong weekend of his own. 

Baglin and Martinese win in the Algarve after exciting races

On the Algarve international circuit in southern Portugal, excellent weather conditions accompanied the large number of entrants in Round 2 of the Champions of the Future Euro Series. 92 drivers in OK and 88 in OK-Junior, making a magnificent field of 180 entrants, put in an incredible performance over three days, guaranteeing a long and gripping thriller. Noah Baglin (OK-Junior) and Iacopo Martinese (OK) won the Finals in Portimao with flying colours, Henry Domain took the overall lead in the 12-14 age group, while Martinese is now the leader in OK.
