The yearly International meeting Rok Cup Superfinal 2019 has been a very successful event. Luca Bosco won Shifter, Cristian Comanducci Senior, Domenico Cicognini Super, Jamaica’s Alex Powell Mini, Daniele Federici Junior, Marcel Prokscha Expert and Paolo Baselli Expert Plus.

Anthoine Hubert’s babykart has been returned to his family, almost two decades after the young French driver started his motorsport career in that same Topkart. After a brief search, the family of Anthoine Hubert have been reunited with his babykart.
 

Reigning Race of Stars Champion Anthony Abbasse has arrived in Australia ahead of next weekend’s event on the Gold Coast. The Frenchman, who made his Australian debut at the corresponding event last year, arrived in Brisbane earlier this week before spending the past couple of days with Sodi Kart Australia Team Principal John Grother at his Gladstone base.

The Rok Cup Superfinal 2019 is taking place at the International South Garda Circuit of Lonato, as per tradition. The most awaited event of the worldwide Rokkers is set on the Italian track in the week from 9th-12th October. 

The sun is shining on the opening day of the 2019 Rok Superfinal. The 419 registered drivers got on track to get serious today, racing the qualifying practises and the first heats. In pole positions Federici (Junior), Sorensen (Mini), Bosco (Shifter), Gaglianò (Senior), Day (Super), Prokscha (Expert) and Baselli (Expert Plus).

Federer won the closing final of DKM in KZ2 at Ampfing (Germany) and came third in the final classification, Trefilovs claimed his third win in KZ2 Cup and ended second in the championship. In Italy, Dante won the 29th Autumn Trophy in Lonato.

Only a few days left for the Rok Cup Superfinal 2019 start. The best drivers coming from 35 countries are expected for the 17th edition of the Rok International final, 435 Rokkers are coming to the South Garda to become the protagonists of a special event.

The final round of the exciting 2019 BNL Karting Series at Karting Genk. With the “Home of Champions” being the final battleground. This will be the last chance for those that have already qualified for the 20th running of the ROTAX - New Age Karting Max Challenge Grand Finals to get some welcome testing time of the chassis that they will be using in Sarno.

Massimo Dante claimed a spectacular win in KZ2 during the first of the two rounds of the 29th Autumn Trophy. Cristian Griggio claimed the second place in KZN Over.

With O'Neill competing for the ADAC Kart Masters title in the X30 Senior category in Wackersdorf and Esteban making his GT3 debut in the highly prestigious Blancpain GT Series in Barcelona, the Muth family was torn apart last week. But the German crown for the youngest and a more than convincing performance for the oldest turned this last weekend of September into an indelible memory for them all!

After being victorious in seven out of the last ten races in KZ2 and thus dominating in Spain, Hiltbrand clinches the title in the season-closing event in Zuera. Meanwhile, Fontecha secures the Championship in the Senior category in Zuera, after the victories in Chiva and Campillos.

The day after the Formula 1 GP in Sochi, Russia, the F1 driver spent a whole day at the South Garda Karting in Lonato with the Tony Kart Racing Team, testing the Tony Kart OK and KZ Racer 401R chassis.

Five-times World Champion Davide Forè will make a return to Australia’s Gold Coast to compete in the 2019 Race of Stars later this month (October 17-19). With a resume that eclipses that of any current karting driver across the globe, Forè will be making his fifth start at Australia’s most prestigious stand-alone karting event being contested at the Xtreme Karting Complex.

With the fourth racing weekend (October 4th – 6th) of the German Electric Kart Championship on the Schweppermannring in Ampfing, a premiere awaits the first electric kart racing series in the world. For the first time, the championship is going to take place on the race track in Upper Bavaria.

The young Jamaican go-kart champion Alex Powell has distinguished himself throughout the five meetings of the famous Italian Championship of 2019. After another podium at the beginning of September at the closing event at Val Vibrata,  the Mercedes F1 Junior Team protégé concluded his Championship with a convincing 3rd position overall in the 60 Mini category. With the Energy Corse team, Alex is now focused on the last major events of the season, with a major step to be taken very soon for the motorsport hopeful.

Frenchman Anthony Abbasse has confirmed he will return to the Gold Coast next month to defend the Race of Stars crown that he secured in 2018. Abbasse, a 12-time French Champion, was victorious on his Australian debut in the corresponding event last year and has got his eyes firmly focused on securing a second Race of Stars Winner’s Surfboard in 2019.

Subscriptions to the 48th edition of the Trofeo delle Industrie at the South Garda Karting Circuit in Lonato are accepted starting October 2nd. Entitled categories are 60 Mini, OK-Junior, OK, KZ2 and X30 Senior.

The Rok Superfinal starts the engines! Just a few weeks left and we will be attending the biggest event of the Rok World, which is one of the most important appointments in the worldwide karting scene.

Karting Australia has today confirmed the schedule for the 2020 National Calendar of Events. The schedule includes dates for the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship presented by Castrol EDGE, Sparco Rotax Pro Tour, Race of Stars and Ultimate Club Racer events.
