MARIEMBOURG - From last to first place! Luis Bielande did it on Sunday during the opening round of the IAME Series Benelux. The ten-year-old karting talent from Charleroi impressively won the final on the Mariembourg circuit despite engine problems in qualifying. In doing so, he proved that he can also excel at this higher level of competition. 

From April 4 to 6 this weekend, no less than 266 drivers are expected for the first round of the IAME Series Benelux 2025 in Mariembourg. The Karting des Fagnes circuit will be the battleground for the best kart drivers from the Benelux and a strong foreign representation.

The 2025 IAME Euro Series commenced with its inaugural event at the Kartodromo Cremona Circuit, nestled near San Martino del Lago in the picturesque Lombardy region of northern Italy. This marked the first occasion the series visited this technical 1.224 km karting track, renowned for its mix of tight corners and fast straights, providing a dynamic racing experience. ​

The topteam of RSD Karting from Charleroi in Belgium had a perfect weekend in Mariembourg during the opening round of the GK4 karting series. Team owner Sébastien Bielande (43) surprisingly won the final of the IAME X30 Senior class, while his son Luis (10) finished a strong second in the Mini class. Both father and son looked back to the special moment and the great results of RSD Karting.

Flavio Caira earned an impressive victory in the first round of the GK4 Kart Series. The thirteen-year-old driver from Hennuyères swept all sessions in the IAME X30 Juniors class at the Mariembourg track: qualification, both heats and the final. And he did it all while watching his brother taken to the hospital in the final.

The IAME Open Games 2025, organized by Valm S.r.l., is set to be the biggest event of the year for karting enthusiasts and IAME engine fans. Taking place at the Cremona Circuit in San Martino del Lago, Cremona, this two-day event promises thrilling races, cutting-edge technology, and a vibrant atmosphere for both participants and spectators. The event will run from March 15 to March 16, 2025, and is a must-attend for anyone passionate about karting.

Official Pantano Racing Team driver since the end of 2023, Andy Ratel kicked off 2025 with a brilliant performance at the IAME Winter Cup in Valencia. In Spain, the young boy considered to be one of the best French kart drivers of his generation fought his way to the front for three days. A few race incidents slowed his performance, but Andy never gave up, and his efforts were rewarded by a brilliant comeback in the X30 Senior class final, with a 3rd place finish.

After two action-packed days, everything led to Super Heats and Finals in Valencia. The Super Heats offered drivers a final opportunity to secure the best possible grid position for the ultimate showdown. Then, in the Finals, the top contenders went head-to-head in a battle for victory. With daring overtakes, intense last-lap fights, and standout performances, the IAME Winter Cup 2025 came to a breathtaking conclusion, capping off an unforgettable weekend of racing.

The IAME Winter Cup will be held from 12-16th of February 2025 for the classes: Mini, Junior, and Senior. The official sessions start on Friday with the Timed Qualifying and First Qualifying Heats, continuing with the rest of the Qualifying Heats on Saturday. The Superheats, Consolation race, and the finals will take place on Sunday!

After Friday’s timed qualifying sessions, Saturday was all about the battle for grid positions in the qualifying heats. With 24 intense races in the X30 Mini, X30 Junior and X30 Senior categories throughout the day, drivers fought hard to secure the best possible ranking for Sunday’s Super Heats. Every heat counted, as finishing positions translated into crucial points that would determine the starting order for the decisive final phases.
