The new WSK Promotion calendar for karting season 2021 with all the categories entitled in each appointment is now available. WSK Promotion devised the new racing calendar for season 2021 making a little change to the dates of the opening of the season and, consequently, a modulation of some rounds due to the present sanitary situation.

CRG is pleased to announce the renewal of the contract for the 2021 season with the OK driver Rasmus Joutsimies. The Finnish driver did an excellent job in 2020 with the official team, culminating with the 8th place at the FIA ​​World Championship and CRG management decided to extend the collaboration also for the 2021 season to give continuity to a work that is going on in the right direction.

The persisting Covid-19 pandemic requires careful thinking regarding the start of season 2021. WSK Promotion is working to find the best possible solutions for the forthcoming season.  

Entries to the opening meeting of the season – the WSK Champions Cup scheduled in Adria on January 28-31 and open to categories MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2 – will be accepted coming January 7th. The Winter Test will also take place in Adria in the weekend of January 23-24.

WSK Promotion defined the Partners for season 2021 that will get underway from Adria with the WSK Champions Cup on January 31st before continuing with the other appointments in the calendar like the WSK Super Masters Series, WSK Euro Series, WSK Open Cup and WSK Final Cup.

WSK would like to thank all of our teams, drivers, race officials, members of the press and all of our fans who have allowed us to complete one of the most difficult racing seasons ever. Our hope is to meet again soon as we continue doing together what we love, competing with respect for both the regulations and also our opponents.

CRG has made official the first piece of its drivers’ line-up for 2021 by announcing Alex Irlando for the KZ category. The agreement with the Apulian driver is part of a large project to strengthen its Racing Team, which CRG is undertaking especially for the KZ categories.

Also on the occasion of the last international event, Kosmic is getting another title, with Freddie Slater winning the WSK Open Cup in the Junior category.

The 2021 racing calendar has been confirmed with the definition of all the entitled categories in each event of the next season.   

The last international competition of the season, the WSK Open Cup took place as a double meeting from 24th to 29th November on the Adria Karting Raceway. Very solid at the front of the Mini category, Maciej Gladysz won the series classification with a good lead over his opponents. Kai Sorensen did a great job in OK-Junior, and Rashid Al Dhaheri showed good performances.

The newly-crowned WSK Open Cup Champions are the Dutch Stan Pex (KZ2), the Brits Taylor Barnard (OK) and Freddie Slater (OKJ) and the Pole Maciej Gladysz (MINI).

Despite the difficulties to reach the venue by foreign drivers, the number of entered drivers is quite good as all protagonists are gearing up to challenge each other in the closing event of MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2.

All prefinals of the WSK Open Cup Round 1 and Round 2 have been run ahead of the finals that will award the titles on Sunday, November 29th in Adria. All the finals in Live Streaming from www.wsk.it.

The provisional classifications of the heats valid for Round 2 see Pex on top in KZ2, Barnard in OK, Ugochukwu and Lindblad equal in OKJ, Gladysz and Skulanov in MINI.       

The decision has been taken after a careful analysis of the current situation to safeguard the good health of all the participants in the championships devised and organized by WSK Promotion.

Heats on Thursday defined the names of the protagonists of Round 1 of the WSK Open Cup that will contest Prefinals on Saturday. Drivers will get on track again on Friday, November 27th to run the heats of Round 2.   

Due to the persisting Covid-19 sanitary emergency, the event scheduled for December 10-13 at the International Circuit Napoli in Sarno will be relocated to the Adria Karting Raceway in the same date.
