Rashid Al Dhaheri added a second win to his 2026 FIA FREC campaign at Monza, following his maiden success at the Red Bull Ring. Starting from the fourth row of the grid, the R-ace GP driver produced an impressive comeback to take victory in a race affected by three Safety Car periods.

Kean Nakamura-Berta secured his second victory of the season at The Temple of Speed. Having started from pole position in the first of the weekend’s three races, the PREMA Racing driver dominated from lights to flag and scored valuable points to move into the championship lead.

Maksimilian Popov became the sixth different winner from six different teams in the opening seven races of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship season after claiming victory in the final race of the weekend at Spa-Francorchamps.

Kean Nakamura-Berta claimed his third pole position of the season at Zandvoort, which hosts the second round of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship. The Prema Racing driver topped Qualifying 2 and will start from the front of the grid for the second and final race of the weekend.

Sebastian Wheldon emerged as the fastest across the two Free Practice sessions that opened the Zandvoort weekend. At the Dutch venue, which hosts the second round of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship, the MP Motorsport driver set the overall quickest time in the morning with a lap of 1:30.114 that no one could improve on later in the day as afternoon temperatures rose.

Reno Francot rounded off the opening Red Bull Ring round of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship by taking victory in a dramatic Race 3, which saw the safety car deployed four times. The Dutch driver for CL Motorsport, who had already secured a podium in Saturday’s second race, also moved to the top of the Drivers’ standings, capitalising on the retirement of the polesitter and Race 1 winner Kean Nakamura-Berta (Prema Racing). Gabriel Gomez finished seventh for Rodin Motorsport, securing victory in the Rookie class.

Kean Nakamura-Berta has become the first-ever pole-sitter in the history of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship. The Prema Racing driver was the overall fastest across the two groups that took to the track at the Red Bull Ring in the opening qualifying session of the season, when he clocked 1:25.765. Alongside him on the front row for the first of the weekend’s three races will be Rashid Al Dhaheri (R-ace GP), who set the pace in the second group with a 1:25.951.

FIA Formula Regional European Championship wrapped up two highly productive test days at Circuit Paul Ricard, with all 10 teams expected on the 2026 grid out in force ahead of the season opener at the end of April.
