20-year-old racing rising star Doriane Pin has officially joined the esteemed ranks of Mercedes-AMG as a member of its Junior Programme and will represent the iconic brand in Formula 1 Academy with the support of the PREMA Racing team.
This strategic move to Mercedes-AMG and her participation to F1 Academy signifies a major acceleration in the young female driver's budding career, and a pivotal turning point as she embarks on her journey into single-seater racing towards her long-cherished dream of competing in the pinnacle of motorsports – Formula One.
Furthermore, Doriane will remain dedicated to her roots as a member of the Iron Dames project, the pioneering platform that has played a pivotal role in nurturing her talent and propelling her to become one of the brightest prospects of her generation.
Born 6 January 2004 in France, Doriane started karting in 2013 and became French karting champion in 2019. She stepped up to the Renault Clio Cup in 2020, before taking several GT3 podiums in the 2021 Le Mans Cup. The Iron Dame tested an FIA Formula 3 car in 2021 and gave her the opportunity to gain further valuable single-seater experience. A highly accomplished competitor, Doriane already is a Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Champion, 2022 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps class winner and European Le Mans Series season finale winner in the GTE-AM class.
In 2023, Doriane graduated to prototype racing with PREMA in the FIA World Endurance Championship, raising to the challenge at just 19 and becoming the first woman to win the coveted ‘Revelation of the Year’ award. Alongside her FIA WEC debut, Doriane has also been making her mark in the IMSA Endurance Cup, North America’s most hotly contested GT competition. She finished the year with a victory and three podiums as a rookie in Formula 4 South-East Asia.
Aiming to develop and prepare female drivers to progress to higher levels of competition, F1 Academy embarks on an ambitious journey for its second season. Joining the F1 calendar for seven rounds with the support of all 10 F1 teams, F1 Academy becomes a truly global championship, which provides Doriane the opportunity to evolve in the single-seater environment and to develop her skills on F1 tracks. The 2024 campaign will start and end in the Middle East, beginning in Saudi Arabia on March 7 and concluding at Yas Marina on December 8.

About the Iron Dames:
Founded in 2018 by Deborah Mayer, the Iron Dames is a groundbreaking project committed to promoting and supporting women in sports where they compete in equal terms with men. The project has been launched and rapidly developed in motorsport. The Iron Dames, as an all-female line-up, achieved historic victories and breakthroughs at the pinnacle of world endurance racing, including becoming the first all-female team to win a race in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the first to finish second in the championship.
