Canadian racer Mayer Deonarine joins Graham Brunton Racing for GB4 bow at Oulton Park

Young Canadian Mayer Deonarine will make his GB4 debut at the season-opening Oulton Park rounds, joining fellow countryman Callum Baxter at Graham Brunton Racing.

The 15-year-old, who hails from the Greater Toronto area, has already enjoyed success in his homeland, with achievements including title glory in a national-level karting championship, and reaching the podium in all three races during his 2024 Radical North America Cup debut at Sebring.

Deonarine, like Baxter, is a member of the Road To Racing Canada programme, a pioneering motorsport charity dedicated to fostering the development of young racing talent.

After recognising his potential, Road To Racing has awarded Deonarine with its Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship, providing him with the full funding for his Oulton Park appearance, with the aim of competing in further GB4 events during the season, subject to funding from sponsorship and donations.

Deonarine Mayer said: “Open wheel racing in the UK has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I am incredibly grateful to Road To Racing for providing me with this incredible opportunity. I am eager to learn and grow as a racer and to showcase my talent on the international stage.”

Team Principal Graham Brunton said: “I’m thrilled to have Road To Racing Canada supporting our GB4 drivers Mayer Deonarine and Callum Baxter. Their dedication to nurturing young talent aligns perfectly with our mission, and I’m excited to see the impact they’ll have on these promising young racers.”
