Double podium in F4 at Lédenon for Sofia Zanfari

The young Moroccan driver once again distinguished herself in the French F4 Championship during the fifth and penultimate round at the Lédenon circuit. She managed to climb onto the women's podium in Races 2 and 3 after some spectacular battles.

Located in the south of France, the Nîmes-Lédenon circuit offers a dizzying rollercoaster-like track. It undeniably takes a big heart to shine there. That's what Sofia Zanfari did, improving throughout the meeting thanks to the advice of the FFSA Academy coaches. After finding her feet in Qualifying, she continued to improve throughout the three races on the programme.

First, she moved up two places in Race 1, which took place under sunny skies in the Gard region. But then the weather took a turn for the worse for Race 2, complicating matters for the drivers on rain tyres. Sofia gained another two places in these difficult conditions and finished on the women's podium.

On Sunday, tempers flared and several incidents marred Race 3. Sofia kept her cool and gradually made up ground in the field. She finished on the women's podium once again, gaining six places.

"After the very good result at Magny-Cours, I am delighted to have secured two more podium finishes at Lédenon," said the young Moroccan. "I feel more and more confident and I am ready to finish the season as well as possible in two weeks' time at the Le Mans circuit, with another women's podium in my sights."
