Tony Kart finishes third in the Champions of the Future 2025

In the last round of the series, in Kristianstad (Sweden), their Tony Kart Racer 401 T chassis won the bronze medal in the OKJ category of the championship, thanks to the results achieved by Ilie Tristan Crisan during the season.

With the summer break now over, the Tony Kart Racing Team is back on track again for the fifth and final round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series 2025. On the Swedish circuit of Kristianstad, their Tony Kart Racer 401 T chassis obtains the third place in the OKJ category drivers' standings, obviously paired with the VTJ engine of Vortex Engines, and also stands out in the OK class, together with the VTS engine of the OTK Kart Group's ‘engine division’.

In OKJ category, Ilie Tristan Crisan attends the Kristianstad event in the provisional third place in the overall standings; however, not excellent qualifyings make his path in the qualifying heats more difficult. The Canadian driver uses all his talent to recover 36 positions in the intermediate standings, also thanks to a victory (and a fast lap) in heat C-F. In the Sunday afternoon's final, Crisan performs a comeback of 12 positions, narrowly misses the top ten and secures the bronze medal in the championship.

Mateo Rivals is their best performer in the final. The French driver gains eight positions during the race and finishes in the top 10. In the previous days, Mateo recorded the fourth fastest time in Group 1 of the chrono practice sessions and achieved second place as his best result in the qualifying heats. Henri-Constant Kumpen and Gilles Philippe Herman, both of whom are running a weekend of steady improvement, are also at the starting grid of Sunday's final race. Julian Frasnelli, Oliveri Sini and Antonio Reginaldo Pizzonia Neto continue their training for the FIA Karting World Championship, joined by the newcomer Marvei Dergunov.

In OK class, Jindřich Pešl is one of their main representatives of the category. The Czech driver starts the Swedish event with the fourth fastest time in the qualifying group 2 and achieves third place in the subsequent qualifying heats. Pešl enters Sunday's final with a good chance of achieving a top position, but an accident on the second lap stops his race prematurely.

Despite the podium gained in the previous round in Rødby together with some interesting results gained over the weekend, including two second places in the morning warm-ups on Saturday and Sunday, Thomas Pradier does not have a weekend to remember. Oliver Rasmussen, Markas Šilkūnas and Vanesa Šilkūnaitė perform a useful training in view of their next FIA Karting World Championship attendance.

The whole Tony Kart Racing Team staff is still in Sweden to compete in the highly awaited World Championship for the OK and OKJ categories (11th – 14th September).
