Kart Republic ready for Europe after two podium finishes at Viterbo

During the third round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series, the drivers and teams defending the Kart Republic colours in OK and OK-Junior were able to learn the Viterbo circuit on Maxxis tyres and gather valuable information for the FIA Karting European Championship. Some excellent technical solutions were found, as Irishman Daniel Kelleher and Belgian Thibaut Ramaekers were able to prove with their magnificent recoveries to 2nd and 3rd positions in OK. In OK-Junior, Great Britain's Noah Baglin once again fought his way to the front.

The day started under cool and calm conditions at the Circuito Internazionale di Napoli in Sarno, Italy, but the track action heated up throughout the day, concluding with three Qualifying Practice sessions. Setting the grids in Micro MAX, Mini MAX, and MAX DD2 Masters, the remaining classes will qualify tomorrow, with wheel-to-wheel action to follow. Of note, Non-Qualifying Practice 6 for Junior MAX Even, Senior MAX Odd and Even, MAX DD2 Odd and Even were cancelled today due to heavy rain, as those classes still have Non-Qualifying Practice 7 tomorrow morning.

This year’s edition of the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Festival took the annual BRP-Rotax event for Micro MAX and Mini MAX drivers across the English Channel for the first time on the weekend of September 20-22 for some intensely fought competition. The Warden Law Kart Club at Karting North East in the United Kingdom played host to the special event organised by Motorsport UK for the Rotax youngsters.
