Trident Motorsport is proud to confirm an agreement with Freddie Slater for the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Championship. The 17-year-old British driver will contest the upcoming season in the team’s colours, joining a squad that has produced the category’s last three Drivers’ Champions: Gabriel Bortoleto, Leonardo Fornaroli and Rafael Câmara.

Lenovo and Gruppo CRG today announced a multi-year partnership that will see the global technology powerhouse become the Group’s Technology Partner, expanding the organization’s technical capabilities through advanced telemetry and data analytics, while also optimizing kart production at headquarters. The FIA and ACI are proud to announce the creation of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship, a brand-new, FIA-supported single-seater competition set to commence in 2026. This marks a crucial next step in the FIA’s structured talent development pathway. The implementation of a new car in 2026 – the FR Gen2 – will mark a significant evolution in the junior single-seater landscape, signalling a strategic moment for redefining the Formula Regional level in Europe.

Rafael Camara, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Dino Beganovic, and before them Grégoire Saucy, Formula Regional builds champions. A quick look at the series’ roll of honour reveals a growing legacy of excellence, with many former drivers now competing in Formula 1, including Antonelli, Isack Hadjar, and Gabriel Bortoleto. Co-organised by ACI Sport and Alpine Racing since 2021, the championship now enters its fifth season, kicking off this weekend at Misano, an all-new venue for the series, with a 26-car grid representing ten teams.
