The FIA racing season officially gets underway, featuring the most prestigious meetings of the year—events that have launched the careers of today’s Formula 1 stars, from Max Verstappen (2013 champion) to Lewis Hamilton (2000 winner).

On Sunday, April 12th, the circuit of Muro Leccese, Italy, will host Round 1 of the FIA European Championship for the OK and OKJ categories. For the CRG Racing Team, this marks the green light for their international campaign under FIA governance, featuring a four-round European Championship and culminating in a one-off World Championship event in November.

Gabriel Gomez dominated the scene in the 1st Round of the FIA ​​European Championship OK which took place on the Valencia track in Spain. The Brazilian took Pole in Qualifying Practice, won 4 Heats out of 5, finished the Super Heat in P1 and dominated the Final, leading the race from the 1st to the last lap.

After 3 days of testing that took place on the Valencia circuit last week, from today onward, the drivers of the direct drive OK and OK-Junior categories, will be busy on the same Spanish track with the 1st round of the Champions of The Future, the karting series organized by RGMMC as training in view of the FIA ​​Karting Championships.

It was not a lucky weekend for the CRG Racing Team the one that has just ended on the Portimao track in Portugal, where Round 1 of the FIA ​​European Championship OK & OK-Junior took place.
