The second race of the weekend, featuring Groups A and B, was held in the evening at Misano World Circuit. It marked the first outing of the season for the Group A drivers, led by pole-sitter Kean Nakamura-Berta. The Japanese driver from Prema Racing, who had set the fastest overall time in Friday’s qualifying, dominated from the very start.

Rehm made a quick getaway and led the opening laps but was later overtaken by Prema Racing drivers Sebastian Wheldon and Salim Hanna before receiving a 10-second penalty for the irregular start.
